Am in platoon 6.but I must tell u d truth dat platoon no work at all,our platoon coordinator jst dey behave anyhow.tank God all dis platoon stuff is ending in camp there.lagos camp try shaa

it was 2000plus corper in camp & almost all that applied got but not their preferred state.
With this second transfer opportunity that is on going, d total no of relocation(translocated) corper might be more than 1500.
Though their release might take effect by Feb or even before then!!!!

Allowee was/is being paid as I type and the morale in camp is very high. I was quite lucky I was amongst the 1st set of ppl who got theirs. Now waiting earnestly for the relocation list, hoping I get redeployed.

One guy granted interview to d press which nearly caused chaosk in camp. And he was subsequently arraigned in d camp court.
Social night: on point!

The morale in Benue camp is low following the news of the death of a soldier shot by unknown gunmen in the early hours of friday (yesterday) while at his duty post. A very promising young man he was. We all are so sad and down as a result of this ugly incident. Today is also predicted to going to be hot in Benue state as they hold their local government elections today.

Wow! Relocation list is out here in Zamfara. Out of about 1400 corpers posted dere, abt 400 av bin confirmed and some will still go later.

Reporting live from nasarawa camp, this morning a lot washing is going as the camp winds down, for me it was a balanced feeling tru out, found myself in platoon 6, captain of the football team, came first in eating, macho, bold and beautiful, 2nd in quarter guard and came last in all cooking competitions and miss nysc, luckly i made the nysc batch c team and will be playing a match with the state nysc team today. Overall I thank God, and cant wait to leave camp. Brezzybone reporting life frm nasarawa nysc camp.

Morale is low here in Benue camp following the untimely death of one of our soldiers who was shot dead by unidentified gunmen (totalling 42 in number) in the early hours of friday (3am) while trying to gain entrance into the camp from where they could have carried out their nefarious acts (for full details; check the NYSC section for a thread on the incident). Thank God their plan was in futile and our allawee (over 40 million naira) later paid.
The camp-fire night was done but on a mournful note; no central fire. My platoon came 2nd in the cooking competition. Now we have 1 gold, 1 silver, 2 bronze medals.

Morale is very high here as we draw nearer to our last day on camp. White shirts and shorts have been turned to objects of autograph collection. Almost everyone has got one crazy inscription or the other. The camp director is not finding it funny at all and thus he is going about ordering anyone with an autographed outfit to overturn the cloth and wear it.

I'll miss the orientatn camp in my own little way, the friends I made and ppl I associated with. It was indeed a nice period, even though I took a while to settle in. That said, I honestly can't wait for the next phase of this service thingy, I want to live my own life and impact my society.
