Lagos State National Assembly is seriously making plans to ban smoking in some restricted areas of the state. The anti-smoking bill has scaled through the first reading at the Lagos State House of Assembly yesterday. It contains the prohibition of smoking in designated places for connected purposes. If passed into law, the bill will restrict smokers of tobacco, or anything, which contains tobacco, or any other substance in places marked ‘No Smoking Area’. It would also be seen as a grievous offence to smoke in the presence of under-aged kids at any given location. This is some serious re-structuring going on in Lagos.
