A 20 yr old's mind, imo should be focused on school,career and stuff.Too early to think about marriage,because these stages go into moulding and shaping the individual and preparing them for life's great challenges ahead.Skip a stage at your own risk.
The 30 yr old man could be through with school,already got a job and looking to settle down.This 20 yr old grl on the other hand hasn't even began that journey and that is where conflicts emanate from.
The prob here is not the age gap but the state of their minds.>> how they deal with life's real issues etc
eg a 30 yr old lady and 40 yr old man can fit perfectly well.Now think of a 10 yr old girl and a 20 yr old boy.

And who knows what they are in it for anyway? don't assume they plan on settling down together till he says so.

And just to add:I am well aware that maturity is not defined by age.
