jonathan started from bayelsa and now as the president of nigeria for almost 3 yrs, pls can you point to those things he is doing that makes u think he is the best?

@topic,
it is not about the individuals rather it is a systematic problem. we need institutions and not individuals. if we have a police that is free politics and politicians, if we have a court that is independent of politics and politicians, if we have EFCC that will not ask the president his relationship with an offender before taking actions, if we have a constitution that will be for all and supreme to all nigerians, if we can have an inec that is not personally owned by a person or party, give us a nafdac that will not be all about dora akunyili.
until this country cleansed of godfathers and above the law individuals or what jonathan will call cabals, nobody even obama will make a headway here.
the first step in the right direction will be to crack this great building(current democracy) that has a faulty foundation(pdp)and start all over again.
if we punish criminals they way they shld be, i tell u just anybody can rule nigeria.
apart from that, the only other near possible option we have here is to use a military man with sense of sanity and with enough boldness to handle this mess and one tested and trusted name that comes to my mind is BUHARI.
Gð purnish U̶̲̥̅̊ aπϑ dat U̶̲̥̅̊я buhari, fool.

M̶̲̥̅γ̲̣̣̥ generation can't vote 4 buhari 4 those of U̶̲̥̅̊ mentioning his name. Rather ℓ̊'ll prefer T.A orji.

BESIDE he's a man of bad integrety particularly with this issue of bokoharam in the north i bet he's the brain behind it all. So forget him and again he will force us into islamic relm

Sincerely unbiased, the only way we can make such decision is to first establish at least two or three political parties that wii be the umbrella for all politicians to seek our mandate(not because it's working in the U.S but it makes way for opposition to overthrow ruling party with the better candidate and programmes) but because if we fail on this, the numerous political parties that we have today and many that are coming before 2015 will not make a good opposition if the ruling party imposes on us through their nominated Godfatheristic primary election a candidate that can't even lead a local government to GOVERN A WHOLE COUNTRY; then have a political debate that will be open and all encompassing; enlighten our Citizens more on why we need the best and not a brother or sister, and on our individual effort to depromote corruption through greed and self-enrichment.

Then demand from the judiciary that "dead case at arrival" is not a judicial pronouncement, but the apex of corruption, judicial bias and subjective judgement which is antithetical to equity, justice and fairness.Because without an independent, reliable and indefageable Judiciary no democratic tenent can lead to any democratic polity where everyone can live equally and equitably.
