Read and comment if you are up to 30:- 1. Respect for women as equals and not just as heads attached to boobs. 2. At least four good pairs of shoes: dressy, business casual, casual, exercise. 3. At least one friend who gives honest godly & fashion advice. 4. A toolbox that includes: a hammer, screwdriver, wrench, nails, work gloves. 5. Enough clean underwear (no holes!). 6. Independence from his mama. 7. The ability to ask for directions. 8. A great road map when there’s no one to ask. 9. An emergency kit in the trunk of his car or house. 10. A hobby that does not include a television set/cigarette. 11. A trusted barber or hair stylist. 12. A pair of jeans that makes him look good. 13. Jumper cables. 14. A driver’s license or recognised I.D. 15. Always enough handkerchiefs. 16. Sheets that don’t scratch. 17. A nightstand that doesn’t say “Handle with care” on the side. 18. A smile he uses generously. 19. At least one lamp that didn’t once belong in a dorm room. 20. Enough confidence to approach someone he finds attractive. 21. Enough sense not to use a cheesy pick-up line. (When in doubt, say “hello!”) 22. A great razor. 23. Preparing to settle down if not yet settled. 24. A place where everyone knows his name. 25. At least say no to one sex move he’s received lots of positive feedback on. 26. Have a good plan for the future. 27. Every guy should grow a beard before they're 30. Even if it doesn't work out, every guy should know what he's got as far as beard quality. 28. Every guy should own something that was his fathers. No father? Own something that will be your son's. 29. Every guy should have a good sound system. 30. Fallen in love. Falling in love indicates that you've learned how to be vulnerable and to accept the vulnerabilities of others. This bond is, well, life changing. I can't think of anything else that so alters the core of who we are at such a fundamental level. |
