Benin City for sure - Nigeria's only cosmopolitan city and cradle of black civilization. Beautiful faces everywhere, peaceful and many more.... No ethnic sentiment to visitors. If you want value for your money, this is where to start. Not an industrial city meaning fewer or no jobs are available smiley.

Been to Abuja, lagos, kaduna, jos, anambra, lagos, yobe, bauchi, ogun & schooled in maiduguri

Abuja is first and then Lasgidi...i love the water ....mehn

Abuja nite life is superb if you know the joints...not just the clubs and girls but the parks are too die for.

If you in Abuja n lookn to blow some maui or shesha or drink chilled booze/liquor in a serene cool outdoor environment with reponsible working class folks checkout sha sha in area 11.

If u kno any other places like this in abuja metropolis, let me know....

I still be jjc for abuja...

If you no like Abuja, na 2 things go cos am either

1. You no get money or
2. You no get people to Mingle with.

Abuja and Calabar are Nigerian abroad.
Am a PH babe, I love my state wella but I think ABJ comes first...mehn with the right people and some cool money in ur poket, Ur going to love it.

Aba. The least city if u ask me
Akure. Beautiy without brains.
Owerri. Try for cleanliness.
Enugu. The last time I was there was 2006 and honestly, that place was a village but with the whole hypng, I guess I need to take anoda look.
Benin - nothing to talk about.
Delta- Advanced Aba.

Those voting for Abuja and Calabar here are doing so because they have not being to Uyo lately. That town is whao I must confess. The kind of houses in Ewet Housing cannot be compared to either those in State or Federal Housing in Calabar. Is it road network? Aka road, Idoro road, 4 lane etc. Is it the people being industrious? Brothers, I love Uyo.

If all these cities u all commended wel I should believe nigeria is ok then. I school in ghana presently but i was born and brought up in lagos. The problem of lagos is overpopulation. The state government can't solve d issue of dirty environment and traffic conjestion except the city is depopulated. The problems of lagos arises from d mentality dat if u dnt live there u cant be successfull because its d business hub of naija. But in all lagos still the best, talk of industrialization, liveliness, education, relax centres, security etc.

Lol at the lines in bold! The simple reason I don't like it to you means either I am poor or just don't know anybody living there. The truth is that it looks like a working class cheap suburb. Don't misunderstand me there is nothing so special or much telling about that place as bussling with life rather boring city. It would be a better place to raise kids(good for family) not for a dude like me.

Lagos all the way! Abuja is sooo boring and hot! *snore*. Too hot to even leave the house. I like Ilorin and the SW country side, quite beautiful and scenic. Abeokuta is not too bad either. Some real fresh air and nice hotels to hang out in.

Enugu for sure...good roads with perfect network, cool, not crowded, neat, not too expensive, decent night life, above average electricity, has arguably the highest concentration of fine babes.

Uyo, Abuja (too expensive), and Calabar also deserve mentioning.

Abuja and PH are Lagos wannabes, their so called "swagger" is cheap and tawdry compared to Lasgidi.

bittyend: From what I've seen so far on the web; Calabar, Ondo, Abuja, Akwa Ibom and Enugu(if the Igbos there aren't as bigoted as the ones marauding round nl) are cities I'll like to visit. Lagos isn't really my type of city, too crowded. I love clean and fresh foods, cleanliness, fresh air, and country girls too much to choose Lagos.
Ondo and Akwa Ibom are states not cities so re-phrase. Igbos are not more bigoted than Yorubas, it boils down to individual perception and world view but note that either by omission or Commission, that 98% of Nairalanders are always biased and sentimentally attached to their respective ethnic group.

You are right, I just googled Uyo and got a Youtube video about the Ibom Tropicana and the entire development process, I think am confused where to get my holiday home now, I am thinking its gonna be Uyo, cos I called a friend 30 mins ago and he told me 5 Beds duplex goes for average of 15m at Uyo, then it must be beautiful. I cant wait to go see these places during my xmas break. Its time to start embracing our tourism than spend our hard earn money to Dubai and Kenya.

What she means is that we all made a decision to know the best Nigerian Cities as the OP inquired, but you decided to start criticism of cities. Apologize to her.

Oh...! My apologies! Well, the rate at which people tend to lean toward mentioning of Enugu is alarming yet revealing. And, I wanted to point out it is not as good as people is making it to look of images I have seen of it. Yep! I erred!
