Are we saying even MSCI is trapped... grin

That index fund can stay for as long as they care. They are buying NB that will not give 3% DY, nestle that will not give 3% DY. Lots of stocks now can't give 5% yield except for Tier 2. Ok sell nauw when price rise, they will not sell. Is their portfolio for decoration

So don't use that as a gauge!

Develop your own strategy and beat all indices including the MSCI!!!

To bring things into perspective,

10% fall for 5 consecutive working days will take Fidelity to 1.92.

Example:

If it closes at 3.23 now and the herds help in this, then we will see this

Day 1: 10% fall ~ 2.91
Day 2: 10% fall ~ 2.62
Day 3 : 10% fall ~ 2.36
Day 4: 10% fall ~ 2.13
Day 5: 10% fall ~ 1.92

This is for Fidelity ooo.. not to talk of Diamond and Fcmb.

Next week Friday will tell us where we will get to.

A fall like that could be arrested on Day 3 or Day 4.

Ask yourself that question: what is the rationale behind MSCI purchases. Is it to make profit or for decoration?

Maybe the profit may not be now.. It could be long term (say 10 years)

but for me, once you see that your DY is falling below the 10% threshold( and tending towards 5%) that you will take as good dividend due to price increase, jaaaaaaaaaaa grin

Truly, everyone of us here are seriously enjoying the bull.
But of the truth, this bull is questionable, enough pump and pump. And many has no option than to join, likes of Skye banks and it's brothers, I have been searching for the positive news that pushes them forward, but could not find.

Stocks, that used to have over 100 million offer on daily bases, are now turning to seriously full bid. Peterich once talks about law of diminishing return, and market crash.

Bull is good, but we should follow it with caution, we should join companies with good fundamentals, that always pay dividend and have good EPS, because if the market faces south tomorrow, you are sure of yearly dividend.

One funny thing in this market, is that the Penny stocks that gain 10% every day with full bid, if the faces south, it will turn to fully offer, with the same 10% lose.

We should follow this bull with wisdom.

There is no big deal about what is happening in the market. The movement we have seen so far was brought about by the surge in oil price. Stocks are gradually retracing their steps to fair value. Therefore, everybody wants to take their little profit/loss (to avoid stories that touches) and sit back waiting to see when market will stabilize.

I only pity those that enter high for now, though those stocks will still get back to where they bought it if they are patient enough and surpass it, (I am not talking about FCMB and Diamond o)

DD please.

NSE wait for no body. What if the Oando vehicle get repaired when other ones are coming back. Which direction will it follow?
Question asked on January, 9.

If the current bear continue tomorrow, those who fixed their money in Oando will have no other option, than to bail out.

Then the bid quantity will disappear.

If your stock was among the top five trades today for the whole market and declined in excess of 7.5%, you should be worried in the near term.

They won't. It's already expected that the share price will go North once they come off suspension and many will hold on to that conviction till then. The only thing is that it may only go North for 2 or 3 days once TS is called off before taking a nosedive, and many will get trapped.

The drama that will unfold here may not have a part 2.

The only below N5.00 and above N1.50 bank that DID NOT decline in price today is Diamond Bank. Think deeply about little signs... FCMB manipulators have targeted Diamond as their moving target hence, the similarity in prices.

I wrote something yesterday about FCMB, you blew it off as of no value. I do not control the market, but, I do sense things... FCMB was supposed to drop by 6% but the interested parties fought hard to reduce the decline by end of market.

I do not get an award either way; but, different stocks with LOGICAL basis will start moving away from those just riding the momentum wave courtesy of desperate and eager retail investors just throwing anything and everything at any stock in sight in their quest for quick profits. That journey of separation is now in play...

Have a nice weekend.

I was just thinking to myself this morning. What do we call a situation where no one wants to buy and no one even wants to sell either, in a stock market? Oga Emma, Agba, CurrentPrice, Onegentleguy, Mendes11, Oracle, DeRuggedProf, Yayira and co, etc

I have asked this question because of the way one of my darling stocks is dancing right now on the floor cheesy No one wants to sell, and no one wants to even buy grin

Ma,

I can say more if you disclose the stock in question. Maybe you are referring to Seplat.

Remember that putting up a bid automatically ties down your cash and that cash can't be used for another trade. If it becomes knows that a specific stock hardly trades daily (traders not willing to provide offers) and there's currently nothing new (information) that will warrant buyers queuing for this stock, most buyers might decide to ignore the stock and move over to more liquid (prospects of offers turning up).

I don't know if there's any term for this kind of behavior (Fxuser or Agba might know better).
