Congrats. I was tempted to sell some when it hit #9. I will reload Monday. It has proven consistently that when it forms a new support, it doesn't go to a lower low.

For anyone who still has doubts, UACN is the new DANCEMENT grin grin grin

I haven't checked their last result. I don't expect much change though. but going forward after the unbundling, they will get better.

If am correct, Unbundling is a process by which a company with several different lines of business retains core businesses and sells off assets, product lines, divisions or subsidiaries. Unbundling may also refer to offering products or services separately that had been packaged together.

Meaning that it's more of splitting than merging. We are learning every day, please educate me the more . From UACN q3 result, their EPs was in negative side http://www.nse.com.ng/Financial_NewsDocs/28040_UACN_PROPERTY_DEVELOPMENT_COMPANY_PLC_FINANCIAL_STATEMENTS_OCTOBER_2019.pdf which I believe that there are some certain amount from UPDC REIT that form part of their earning. The unbundling that was proposed http://www.nse.com.ng/Financial_NewsDocs/27478_UACN_PROPERTY_DEVELOPMENT_COMPANY_PLC_CORPORATE_ACTIONS_SEPTEMBER_2019.pdf in which UPDC will splits from UACN and standalone, and UACN holders allocating some units of UPDC, of what percentage I don't know yet.

Please torchlight more on this unbundling things, most especially on UACN having stake in both UPDC and REIT and percentage level, will UACN have Ten, Twenty, Fifty or hundred percent holding in REIT.

Have a great weekend everyone after a week of price volatility, optimism and pessimism.

Now I look forward to the weekend when people like @BBM, @Currentprice, @Oracle, @Fxuser and sometimes @Agba come to give us lecture on charts and interesting investment riddles devoid of stock market price movement distractions.

hehehe
d real work starts on d weekend
but what a great week into 2020
all d fav's discussed here for months closed higher than prev week and above prev month (bullish water)
some gave back gains more than others = profit taking is allowed nah
some stayed ard weekly highs = strong support , more upside , pull backs will be shallow
some just above monday opening but lost d drive by friday = a lil more pull backs expected into support levels , wait d support

good start

One thing I like about the NSE is that you can make money in times like this. You only need to distill information properly, and stop looking at prices everyday.
1. TA guys predicted that the market is on the uptrend (Onifa, I see you).
2. A few loss making companies announced their turn around plans. Their current share prices are about 10% of what they used to be. They pulled of loss-making subsidiaries (e.g. Wapco, UACN). Accountants like Pluto and Rebekah analysed here that such divestments will be good for the company results going forward.
3. OGG now makes an analysis (which makes a lot of sense)of what you will get when you invest in such stocks. Case in point: FO BO will be prorated. It seems it has. You don get expo o.
4. OGG and I think Peteru have made postulations on what you will benefit in UACN, the number of shares you'll get in REITS and UPDC. Also that 85% of debts was in UPDC. Simply multiply what they say you'll get by current share prices.
5. Get a good sum and buy those shares, and move on.
6. Guy, if you no make money from NSE with all this info, and you're still asking about hot stock, then you're on a long thing.
on point

This is a PHD thesis question but I will try to answer it.

While your definition above is correct, the unbundling in this sense is UACN totally exiting from both UPDC and REIT of which they have I believe 60% stake.

so that means the 3 coys will all be stand alone entities while the shares of UACN in UPDC and REIT will be ceded to UACN shareholders in the ratio 100:64:39 where 100

stands for every 100k shares you get 64k and 39k in UACN:UPDC:REIT.

the -ve EPS was as a result of discontinued operations (off set of debt) that's why.

So going forward no more Negatives. I hope this helps.

Oga Oakpeal and cashDimpka and assist if I missed anything.

I thought there will be a pullback since some that entered @#4.5k might want to profit take. but it proved me wrong although there was profit taking sha.

It closed @#10.25k. am looking at entering @ #10 on Monday because it has never pullbacked once it has found a new support.

So there is a high probability if you don't buy @#10, you might buy higher.

Not advisable to buy BUA now, but to sell if you can get a buyer at the current price.

The core investor is the one selling and buying from himself

Pa Emma,

I agree that no one should be buying BUA at this time. However, I do not agree that he is the one selling and buying selling concurrently. Which of your brokers tell you? Rely less on the veracity of info you get from that your source.
