zibe: ZUWO- a synonym for "stupid" in UNN (UNEC to be precise, the other campus). I remember we always used it jokingly. Funny, I still use it on my friends from same school, almost 2yrs after leaving. University of Nigeria Nsukka 1)Zuwo (Zuworess) - slang for mumu...a fool. -Taken from Sabo Bakin Zuwo; ex Governor of Kano State whom legend says wasn't too bright in the head. -Won't ever forget a poster ad I saw back then (2001) in early days of internet penetration. Everyone has an e-mail addy. Even Zuwo has one, zuwo@yahoo.com, you alone are left out! Come quickly and register yours for 200 Naira only. 2)Tanker - Slang for a lady/girl as used mostly in male hostels. -Origin probably from water tankers that came to deliver water in the past during periods of scarcity or WaterBoard down times. Such tankers were usually scarce and coveted...just like women are to men. -Remember chatting up my first real girlfriend when she came to the hostel as a "tanker" to visit her course rep. 2 Likes |

Aftermath of July 10 1999 cultists strike, to scare students that they have come again.
