I was informed that it is possible to detect fetus gender through non-invasive test within 5 - 7 weeks of pregnancy. That a DNA based test using mother's blood sample can do the magic! Please does anybody know a hospital or laboratory one can perform such test in Nigeria.

Not sure what it is u want to know. If u are asking to know the sex of ur unborn baby, then u wait for d 18-20th week scan. Anytime sooner will be inconclusive, later will be too crowded for any meaningful deductions. However, at this day and age, the sex of ur baby should be d least of ur concern.you should be preoccupied with making sure your baby comes out healthy by taking all your supplements. My two cents though. Goodluck.

Why so much in hurry to know d gender of your foetus, have you had so many of a particular gender? Do you intend to abort if d result is unfavourable, why?why?and why?
Wait till around 20 weeks, that is when d result can be close to certainty.
However, FYI, if God decides to hide d gender from you, there is nothing you can do about it, for example, it happened to me, i did six differnt scan on my last baby from 3 different good hospitals, and all d results came out d same, one of d scan test was even a week b4 i put to bed, i.e at 39th week, d result was d same, ...........female....but surprisingly, when i put to bed, it was a male, if,
1. My husband was not in d labour room with me, i dont know how i would have convinced him.
2. There were multiple childbiths at d same time in d same labour room, we might think there was a mixed-up.
Above all, d baby was just exactly like his dad, even till now, he look exactly like his dad, d resemblance is just too much beyond any form of questioning.
So relax, God is in control.
May God help us all.
