Once his list is submited, the politicians at the glass house scrutinizes the list to ensure that national interest is represented. Their primary aim isnt which club, position or how effective a player is, but which geopolitical zone he is from. Its an open-secret and it was proposed for the interest of unity. Some of the guys at the list deserves to be there, but a good percentage is just balancing things up.

Not a bad list. We can't keep relying on those who have been failing us, repeatedly and with sheer inpunity...Presently, Odemwingie isnt playing 100% neither are Taiwo n Martins. Apart from defence, I'm ok with other departments. We won't miss Martins, although he is more threat to defenders than our center forwards of Emenike and Ideye . Osaze would have been a quality addition but we can't afford rows in team this time,which may be inevitable if he makes the team.

Our real weak link remains defence.
