dy/dt=-2sin2t
dx/dt=cost (dt/dx=1/cost)

dy/dx=dy/dt *dt/dx.
-2sin2t/cost = -4sint.cost/cost= -4sin t

a) A = $2467.96; interest $438,301;
b) monthly payment $1435.63; unpaid balance at the end of the first year $74397.48;but we are to show the workings


have actually try to solve it but am arriving at something different. for ai)i got 5,562.11 using annuity/sinking fund formulae.

please great maths guru of nairaland kindly help in resolving it.

ok...known that. if. y=ax^n.
=>dy/dx= anx^(n-1)
f ‘ (x)=y‘ =dy/dx

so put. y=f(x)

=> d(-6x^4) /dx + d(cool /dx
=-24x^3
hence. dy/dx =-24x^3

note : differentiating any constant produces zoro..

e.g. d(1)/dx= 0
since 1 =1x^0

hope it helps...

or do u want us to use first principle?

The coefficient of x^4 in the expansion of (1 - x + x^2)^4 is __

Sum the series:
[5/(3 • 6)] + [(5 • 7)/(3 • 6 • 9)] + [(5 • 7 • 9)/(3 • 6 • 9 • 12)] + ...~
NB: the • means multiplication as in, 2 • 3 = 6

Prove that tan^-1(x+z) = tan^-1(x) + 2sin(z)sin(z) - [(2sin(z))^2sin^2(z)]/2 + [(2sin(z)^3sin^3(z)]/3 - ...
Where cot(z) = x

Where cot(z) = x
(Question under TAYLOR'S EXPANSION)

D 1st and 2nd questions are from BIONOMIAL THEOREM/EXPANSION
