lol german shepherds are cuter though, the dog consumed a lot of food while twas a puppy now its a big boy

My dog is actually very cheap. He gets a shampooing, nails filed, and trim (sometimes), every 3-5 months. He gets his teeth cleaned at the vet's about twice a year. Depending on the month, we spend anywhere from $65-$340 on him monthly, and I'm being very loose with the numbers (insurance excluded). Insurance is $35/month with Banfield-Petsmart. The only time the costs were higher was when he was neutered and when he had his dewclaws removed. He did the procedures on the same day.

He does shed though. The shampoo treatment that he gets is supposed to reduce/minimize shedding. Whatever lol.

We trained him ourselves. We got one or two training books and did it that way. Training/obedient school can be pretty expensive. Books and treats can't cost anymore than $30.

My mom got him from a coworker from $50. If I were getting another one, I would probably rescue one from an orphanage or rescue shelter.
