I hardly ever argue with my family, both nuclear and extended on atheism after 2 deadly arguments that nearly had fatal results for me. It has been over a year since anyone in my family has talked about atheism but due to spying on my posts, some family members have rejected religion. You cant argue with logic.

I just got the news few days ago that my activities on NL were monitored since they found out that I was active on NL as logicboy (maybe from my pc). However, I couldnt believe my ears when they said that they were impressed with my writing and I was very convincing. They want me to keep going!



I have always said it that our arguments here can change people. I am so happy. To all atheists, have a beer or cider or champagne at your local beer parlor or bar on me!

There are many Nigerian closet atheists than we can imagine.

Once the taboo again being non-religious is removed, you wont believe how many people will declare their non-belief in religions. Some Nigerians are just just religious for identity sake, they really dont believe all the crap anymore

What I am saying that one public debate will split his church. The rich, educated members of his church will leave. After destroying the pastor, some of his members will come to ask me questions. Happens in every atheist debate. Christians dont go to ask the christian apologist questions, they ask the atheist speaker

I dont mean to be pessimistic, but you are forgetting that religion occupies the part of the brain responsible for critical thinking.Most educated people are already infested. It takes a lot, sometimes impossible, to free up that part of the brain infected with the religious malady.

It is easier to get through to educated people. I still agree with you though. It is quite difficult to change people.
