AS OF LAST 2YRS, UNIBEN ADMITTED 85 INTO MECINE.

I HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO CHECK ASPIRANTS SCORE CUZ IT WAS PASTED RIGHT ON UNIBEN ADMISSION PORTAL

AS I WAS CHECKING THROUGH THEIR ADMISSION STATUS, I SAW SOMETHING THAT BEAT MY IMMAGINATION. I SAW A GUY WHO SCORED 50 AS AGGREGATE ADMITTED INTO THE DEPARTMENT OF MEDICINE DELTA STATE BY STATE OF ORIGIN.

I STARTED CHECKING THROUGH AND SAW A GIRL WHO SCORED 64 AGGREGATE ADMITTED INTO THE SAME MEDICINE. A GUT FROM KADUNA SCORED 54 AND WAS STILL ADMITTED INTO MEDICINE.


IN ESSENCE, UNIBEN DO ACTUALLY FOLLOW SO MANY CRITERIA THAT N.U.C LAY DOWN FOR THEM. ANY DEFAULT OF SUCH CRITERIA MAY LEAD TO THE UNIVERSITY BEING SANCTION.

THAT SAME YEAR, I WAS THROWN TO ANIMAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL BIOLOGY WITH 62. WHY MY FRINED WAS GIVEN 'PLANT BIOTECHNOLOGY' WITH A SCORE OF 60. BOTH OF US PUT IN FOR MEDICINE BUT WAS THROWN TO THOSE 2 DEPARTMENTS RESPECTIVELY.

WHAT AM I TRYING TO SAY?

EVERYTHING IS PRAYER AND SUPPLICATION. EVEN LAST YEAR, I HAPPEN TO GET TO KNOW 2 PERSONS THAT WERE ADMITTED INTO MEDICINE WITH 66 AGGREGATE EACH. I HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO ASK THEM IF THERE ARE THOSE ADMITTED INTO MEDICINE WITH 60 AGGREGATE AND THEY ANSWER YES DEFINITELY. THAT THEIR ARE THOSE WITH 60, 61, 63 ADMITTED INTO MEDICINE. I HAPPEN TO KNOW ANODA GUY WHO SCORED 65 AGG BUT WAS GIVN OPTOMETRY INSTEAD OF MEDICINE.

PRAYERS HAVE IT ALL FOR NOW.

BUT THE NUMBER DO NOT EXCEED 100 THAT ARE ADMITTED INTO MED SURG WHILE LAW DO ACCOMODATE UP TO 150 AND EVEN UP TO 200

Big thanks to you bro! Admission process do have many criteria but above all.. It all depends on GOD'S GRACE.

With what he said, I believe the "cutoff" issue has been tackled..or is there still any unsettled mind?

If not, then over to the next.. When do you think Uniben would release the Merit list and your reason for that date?

UNIBEN MERIT LIST WILL BE RELEASED UNFAILINGLY BY LAST WEEK OF AUGUST

REASON: N.U.C HAS GIVEN ALL UNIVERSITIES THE ULTMATUM TO ROUND OFF EVERYTHING ABOUT ADMISSION LATEST OCTOBER. AND AS WE ALL KNOW, THE ADMISSION LIST WILL COME OUT IN TWO STAGES.


FIRST THE MERIT LIST THAT WILL CONTAIN ONLY THOSE THAT THEIR ACTUALLY COURSE IS GIVEN. THAT MEANS ANYBODY WHOSE NAME IS NOT FOUND IN THE MERIT LIST WIL BE GIVEN ANOTHER COURSE ENTIRELY IN THE 2ND LIST THAT WILL LATER BE RELEASE SHORTLY AFTER THE MERIT LIST. SOMEWHERE SEPTEMBER THE 2NF LIST WILL BE RELEASE. THAT LIST WILL ONLY BE MADE UP OF THOSE THAT WILL BE GIVEN OTHER COURSES RATHER THAN THE ONE THEY PUT IN FOR.

okay, Here is the thing.. Last year about 48,000 wrote the post-ume. There are courses where about 5,000 candidates were competing for eg Law, Medicine, accounting etc. Whereas in such courses, Uniben needed about 100, 150 or so each.

So undoubtedly, there must be MANY scoring more than the usual cutoff of 50 (Not departmental) who weren't given their 1st choice,2nd choice or even any course at all.

At the end of the day, Uniben admitted 5,915(as the matriculation statistic says). So think about the many out of that 48,000 that PASSED but weren't admitted.

But this year, it's different. 97,000 chose Uniben.. But 15,000 wrote the Post-Ume(it might be more tho' cuz that's the stat of those who use PPT..but the difference won't be much even if CBT candidates are added)

So you can imagine how it 'd look like, not to mention the fact that the Post Ume result has further reduced the number.

And there's a rumor NUC instructed all schools to increase their admission capacity (this I can confirm) & uniben is considering admitting 7 or 8k (that I'm unsure of).

Didi 5: Why are you guys this bothered about law like knowing the performance index will change anything?Everything is in God's hand just pray and do not request that people tell you your chances of getting admitted for your desired course.Well in faith i have seen heaven's admission list for law and i saw alot of names there.About 98 for post ume candidates and 17 for direct entry candidates.

wow! Nice and detailed analysis. If the above statistics is anything to go by, then i must say things won't be thesame like last year. The truth is, admission issues in Uniben comes with twists and turns. One should just be prayerful

Before my Admission Arrived some time ago, I already knew it was certain because even d Devil knew it and He was Happy as well dat I got d admission so dat He will b at peace on my Admission case.
