honey, the rule of English does not belong to one. It is the same all over the world. You cannot over ride it because when you do, then people will misunderstand your expression. They will think you mean that when actually you mean this and that will cause commotion.

By the way goodluck with YOUR post utme...I'm a direct entry candidate....and frankly english has neva been a problem for me...when I wrote jamb in my time i scored 70 (in english oh ). The word in front of who is scientist, which is singular. Therefore, use the singular verb writes.

If u have really read that Book then I see no reason why u should choose a plural verb for a singular subject. If u have that Book then I wil say u have not actually read it cuz I have that book and thats where I got this question from. Just go back to the Book and open to page 53, Law 9 will explain it to u. For those who have been speculating to wether the strike will affect the post Ume, I will emphatically without any form of ambiguity that it will not. Reason being that post Ume is being conducted by ''Non Academic Staff Union'' of every University which is seperate body from ASUU. These Academic staff do not go the Chalk Board to lecture.

So, the date still remain 13th July.
