Gud question...attending classes does nt guarantee success tho boost d chances. Impromptu test is not possible in some faculties(expecially for freshers) cos dey make use of CBT. I will advice u ask d returning student of ur dept for more info on dia way of accessing student.

@Matcruz, one thing I like about a university is the privilege it gives 2 her students. S not like a secondary skl where attendance s taken in class or ur friends,teachers will see u if u dint go 4 class. If u lik, u can stay out of class untill d exam day....s nobody's business not even ur level adviser business but if u knw u want 2 succeed in life,u don't wanna 'FACE TANKE' and u want ur parent's and generation yet unborn 2 pray 4 u....pls and pls, attend classes because d moment u start skippn classes...u've started failing. Most lecturers don't make use of attendance but thr ar some psyche d@ make use of it...and dey can use d@ against u...because in d students handbook that u will b given...Unilorin stipulated that u attend @ least 75% of classes 4 u 2 qualify 4 exams...so dey can do and undo. 2 b on a saver side....pls attend classes though not all classes u will av 2 attend because of some factors and 4 d impromtu test, impromtu test s rare in some department. If thr s gonna b a test, s always announce lik 2,3weeks 2 d day but if u miss a test...some lecturers will set a make up test while some will tell u....go and prepare hard in ur exam because they can't conduct another test. Test Mark is always 30 while Exam is 70....so if u fail 2 attend class d day a test is conducted and d lecturer won't conduct make up test.....u've lost 30marks already....and gettn 50/70 in exam s DIE. orientation s just a guide on how u can bcome a gud student 4 d stipulated years....advise ranging 4rm attending classes, don't join cultism, report any cases of cultism, don't fight because in Unilorin fightn is = 2 Expel, dress decently....dis 1 s koko, obey rules and regulations.....s just basically advise and date is alwayz set 4 it....not compulsory 4 u 2 attend....not all of u will av d chance 2 get into d auditorium due 2 its limited space and thr s always skl orientation, faculty orientation and some departments do conduct.
