Adura_ngba: Now we can see what the problem of Nigeria is. Some of her citizens stay in the corner of their room praying that things shouldnt be ok, wishing her bad luck. Can you imagine those who cant even kick ball condemning the team and already wishing them to fall. Haba. If it hurts that Nigeria won, why not jump in the lagoon? They won by penalty, were the penalties not deserved, or is penalty not part of football. Na wao. Some people are just too da.ft to reason properly.

we shld be able to beat ethiopia without penalty

Just as a small consolation, the Super Eagles will remain in Rustenburg for their quarterfinal game against Ivory Coast.
Kickoff time is 6pm Nigerian time on Sunday.

While we are celebrating the win, we should reflect on the match. I think our attack still lacks bite, why on earth do they hold on to ball for long? i must also commend our defense especially the goalkeeper. I also commend Keshi for making the good substitutions(well, that of Yobo is questionable). Overall, average performance, can be improved upon.
Go eagles! (don't know about the super)

Next time, get on the field. Because Ethiopia played 4 men against 11 or what exactly is your reason? Because of famine or because they are ugly? Whats your reason?

You are right. The BBC just confirmed that CIV are indeed the group winners.

To be the best, you have to beat the best.
Let us see (and support) how our dear super eagles fare in their biggest challenge yet in this competition.
Keep in mind, there is no shame in losing to CIV. On the other hand, if we lose to say Togo, then that would be embarrassing!
Go Super Eagles.

CFCfan: In AFCON 2004, Nigeria faced a daunting task against then defending champions-Cameroon. But in the end, the Super Eagles came out victorious.
We can do this again!

Oh, by the way, Victor Moses really made Mikel look like a fool tonight.

Thank goodness they didn't let the overrated Mikel take any of those shots. That guy is cancer in the name of football.

The only way to win our match against Cote de Voire: Clone 9 additional Victor Moses and play them on the pitch with the original Victor Moses + Victor Enyeama, that means we'll have all 11 players as "Victors" which will ascertain our Victory.
