I just discovered yestaday dat My labtop whenever i connect to internet, a message would come up that i have 15min left which immediately it shut down. some1 said it is a virus dat i need 2 format d system. but i am not sure if it is virus. pls wat can i do to it?

Try this:
Start a command prompt and type in "shutdown -a" next time you see the message.

It's a virus. This is part of what is now known as "the common criticism of Windows XP". The major reason why Service Pack II was out. Microsoft itself couldn't fix it. I recommend you get a Windows XP sevice pack II. Some hackers were actually responsible for that auto shutdown thing. Don't update your windows using the internet explorer because if you're in Nigeria; you know now-home of piracy .

Yep!!! Its a Virus!!! U might wanna first try running an Antivirus Programme thru ur Computer. Sth like Mc Afee or Norton. It might help at least u saving all ur datas before it shuts down. And i would also advice u using an All in one Antivirus programme with Firewall and SiteAdvisor. U couldget sth like tht from Mc Afee.

my HP 510 laptop starting to act funny,its only 8months old and it screen keep going blank after 30mins of working with it. What could possibly be the cause
