The 14th day of February
The day a lonely heart dread so much

Just to leave the licking sounds of lips
The moans of the days theme – I love you
I tread the path so lonely on usual day
Like I do away from people
To be alone free from the world of love
And from the glare of love I flee
To my astonishment the breeze of love fills the air
And it caressed to my anger,the hairs on my skin
On my usual lonely path lays a new beauty that I hate
The inter-locked hands stretch on the sidewalks of the path
While heads on shoulders were so arranged in a beautiful flower order
On my lonely path I whistle “I am single and lonely indeed”

In times like this
Packaged gift will I give not to another
But to my single self,’cos who can love me like I do
And to no one I owe my allegiance
Only to my single,lonely soul am I responsible for
I am single: that I know you wish for
And I am so lonely: that you wouldn’t want
So I pledge to remain alone and always remain lonely

In times like this I feel the pangs of loneliness
Slicing and rending my lonely heart apart
I pray a day like this should passover
Or skipped like the thirtieth day of February
‘Cos this day lust and love dances on my street
This day a man like me is oppressed sore
The only day I am pressed to hold a hand
The only day the valentine pledge sounds good to me
But for this day lust can I allow
Just to hold someone to pass the day
And continue my old miserable life
Because I love not and try to care less about it
Don’t pity me, let me do that myself
‘Cos I know the pains of loneliness and hatred
Might soon become unbearable
But till then
I remain my single self — the LONELY MAN
