With less than eight weeks before the start of the World Cup 2010 qualifiers, a handful of African Football Associations are in total disarray. What is shocking is that among this list are two of the continents power houses, Nigeria and Senegal.

The case of Nigeria

Augustine Eguavoen is now in South Africa as head coach for the struggling South African side Black Leopards. Stephen Keshi is rumored to be heading to Mali as the new national team coach. That leaves Daniel Amokachi and Samson Siasia on the short list of local coaches.

Why the NFA chose this path is simply mind boggling. The World Cup is coming to Africa and the NFA don miss road!
