Apart 4rm school, i can do any sport, am good at soccer, i av been training for boxing too, and i know i can make it professionally there, am 19, and age is not on my side to achieve dis, sport is for young pple. Dats part of the reasons i wanted to go to america.

Firstly, can you post your previous interview experience here, let the Gurus here point out some tins and know where you did wrong and make sure you don't make d same mistake next time..

Also, your age is the right age for Student Visa at the US Embassy. They love young folks like you, who are well driven.

Pls shed more info about your intended Major and the school you previously applied to and also are u going for your undergraduate studies or masters?..

Did you take any standarlized test? because that counts alot for Visa approval.....

I hope it is not a community college or one of dose mushroom schools that cause automatic denials at the Embassy... So we need more info from you on this issue as well..

And, There is no harm in applying to top ranked schools. The only issue about them is that they are veryy competitive.. And they require very high GPA and test scores.. So try to explore more opportunities and possibilities..

Apply to 1 top ranked school or ivy league schools, if you have got a strong academic profile and like 2 or more averagely ranked schools...

Go to any GTB branch, tell them you want to pay for F1 Student VISA.

The Banker will ask you what Category. You will tell him Student Academics..

You will pay #26,400. Go to usatraveldocs website and register.

Go to the appointment booking site: http://

But you will need to first fill your DS 160 form and get your application ID because you will be need that Confirmation number/application ID to book appointment..


Fill in your details and the Reference number that will be given to you by GTB.

When you fill all these details, appointment date window will be displayed, choose the day you want and click on book appointment.

ola2tu: Hello house, I have been following the topic from the very first part. Concerning the VIU, and other universities that is tagged automatic denial, I have 5 friends now who have moved to the US with VIU , 3 moved last year , and 2 already got their visa's approved few months ago, all applied in Abuja. As someone rightly said the school has a low rating doesn't mean it has been blacklisted. The US will never approve the school and allow students pay SEVIS fee if it is blacklisted or a scam, SEVIS fee are made via the close scrutiny of the Homeland security and if the school is blacklisted it would automatically be shut down. I think the denials for students holding a VIU admission here has nothing to do with the standard of the school, but more to do with the interview section.

The VIU you mentioned has no substance. Forget about saying your friends got visa through VIU. There is always 1 in million and can that be used at yardstick?..... VIU is like going to the embassy with devry. Barely few get the visa and major were turned down..... That's not standard to emulate.

A friend once went to embassy with devry twice, the second time, the VO calmed him down and told him to look for some schools other than that.

Those schools are schools you see their adverts on yahoo.com and other emailing system. Since every school needs students, why can't the University of Virginia or Virginia state university and other reputable universities advertise with mailing system if that's the surest way of catching students and not the gullible ones.

You can take the passport in any standard photo studio irrespective of where you are. Just tell them u need visa lottery passport for Embassy. They shld b aware of it and give u.I paid N300 for 2 copies in Festac.
