I think you should send it separately. The transcript should appear as coming directly from your school. You can send the photocopy of your certificate via Nipost registered mail-it only takes 2weeks. That's my opinion sha. Let those that have used WES before comment on the matter. My school has courier services within the records office, so you just choose which one you wanna use and they'll send it for you.

No oo! Don't try it, if you do....WES will reject it. WES demands that your school be the ones to send the transcript, not you (they believe you shouldn't be in possession of your official transcripts). The school sends your transcripts, you send the copy of your certificate.
What you can do is that, you send the transcripts yourself, then if you have any contact in the US...scan your certificate to them and tell them to print and send to WES. That way, you won't have to pay for courier twice

To complete what Ms Nas said, na inside trash can WES go dump the transcript. Send them separately even on different days. Just like it was your school that mailed them without the transcript getting to your hands.

Why didn't you allow your school send it on your behalf? I asked you this question because it was boldly written on their website that transcripts are considered Official only if they were sent by the Institution. But in your own case, the transcript is already with you. If you want to send it yourself, don't use your address as the sender's address, use your school address. And again, I would advise you not to include your envelope containing your transcripts together with the photocopy of your Certificate, in one envelope. This is because, they believe the Certificates are issued to the students by their Institution. So don't assume they will think it was your school that enclosed the photocopy of your certificate. In fact, that would just render it more unofficial...So take note!

They send the transcript back to the institution that awarded it to you and ask the institution to reply them back through a special email generated for the institution on the applicant. That means the email for reply won't be the same all the time.

Good advice bro.. So right on point!!! There are still many things to settle after getting your visa.. Flight ticket is another issue.. Getting a cheap flight ticket this summer period is very difficult ooo.. Airlines are no longer smiling again oooo. Flight ticket has really hit the roof. They are calling 350k and above.... I'm even seeing some for 600k and others 700k.. The cheapest for Now is 341k.. Chai. Suicide!!!!!!!!!!

Binu ke?! Well, if they don't verify the documents, that means anyone can just make up any paper and called it official transcript and they continue evaluation what's not real. Think about it.

That's one of the main reasons some schools used them for both international and local transcript evaluations. i.e not to convert alone but to verify the authenticity.

Based on my experince with them, they contact institutions via email and send back photocopies of your transcript for further verification. But that of calling, I really don't have an idea...

My ordeal with WES goes thus:
WES sent an email containing letter to me stating that the photocopies of my transcript has been sent back to my institution for further verification. I called my school after 5 weeks of waiting for my status to change from "Waiting for verification from institution" only to discover that these said photocopies hadn't even gotten to my school, they only received the email sent by WES. I had to email WES back the following day, only for them to reply back and tell me my evaluation has been placed on-hold until I pay a $60 fee, so as my documents would be sent via International Post. In fact, as am typing, I just settled the bill with my card. Hoping for a positive reply....!
So just have it in mind that, at times WES could delay evaluation.

Thanks bro, I will round it up next week by God grace because public holz start from thursday till friday. @ eduson002 I will keep that in mind, cos it very important. Evaluation is the only thing that is holding my admission.

Kunle, go as we discussed earlier on bbm. Send your transcripts using Fedex, with your school's name and address, not yours, as sender's details. Then send a photocopy of your certificate later using NIPOST registered mail, preferably the next day to have a change in the document sending dates that will reflect on both Fedex and NIPOST delivery papers. I strongly advise that you send your certificate yourself using your own name and address as sender's details, just as I told you which IamChux also reiterated. NIPOST registered mail is very cheap, N600 will get your document delivered in 10 working days(14 days or 2 weeks if you include the weekends). You'll also get to track your document on the USPS website. You can also track your document here in Nigeria but not online. You'll have to call them on 08028469631 (NAHCO).

I'll advice anybody sending documents that needs to be delivered urgently to use courier (excluding EMS!).
When I was sending my transcripts and all, I used DHL at first, but when I wanted to send the WES verification, I used EMS (which is NIPOST's own courier service, and I was told it will be delivered in 4 days. I paid 9,850)! Boy, I wanted to cry. My letter was stuck with US customs for 2 and a half weeks! I almost missed my deadline cos of that. Its the same with the registered post too, though in all fairness, some of the documents were delivered under 8 days...there were some of them I couldn't track (on the NIPOST and USPS site), and some were delivered in a month!!!. I went to NAHCO too, they couldn't track it, and they were telling me, maybe they changed the tracking number, like WTH?!
What I'll advise is, if you want your docs be delivered safely and fast (no HBP) use courier, but if you're in no hurry, use the registered mail option.
