I'll advice anybody sending documents that needs to be delivered urgently to use courier (excluding EMS!).
When I was sending my transcripts and all, I used DHL at first, but when I wanted to send the WES verification, I used EMS (which is NIPOST's own courier service, and I was told it will be delivered in 4 days. I paid 9,850)! Boy, I wanted to cry. My letter was stuck with US customs for 2 and a half weeks! I almost missed my deadline cos of that. Its the same with the registered post too, though in all fairness, some of the documents were delivered under 8 days...there were some of them I couldn't track (on the NIPOST and USPS site), and some were delivered in a month!!!. I went to NAHCO too, they couldn't track it, and they were telling me, maybe they changed the tracking number, like WTH?!
What I'll advise is, if you want your docs be delivered safely and fast (no HBP) use courier, but if you're in no hurry, use the registered mail option.

What about when a school can send it via e-mail? I hope WES accepts that mode.Some schools are doing e-transcript,itranscript delivery.Bigfran, what's up with that?

I don't think so. Schools are to reply via paper (School's letterhead). They'll quote the reference number WES sent to them. Some schools might reply via email though, but I haven't heard of such.

My ordeal with WES goes thus:
WES sent an email containing letter to me stating that the photocopies of my transcript has been sent back to my institution for further verification. I called my school after 5 weeks of waiting for my status to change from "Waiting for verification from institution" only to discover that these said photocopies hadn't even gotten to my school, they only received the email sent by WES. I had to email WES back the following day, only for them to reply back and tell me my evaluation has been placed on-hold until I pay a $60 fee, so as my documents would be sent via International Post. In fact, as am typing, I just settled the bill with my card. Hoping for a positive reply....!
So just have it in mind that, at times WES could delay evaluation.

Please Next time you going for your Interview, Make sure you endeavour to let the VO know at the start of your Interview that you are a stammerer.. So he/she will make reference to that and Judge your case with all fairness...

They are also human beings like you so they will understand....

Interviewed by a lady on Counter 9... She was s☺ nice, she even gave Visa to a guy that didn't know the state his school was located.
But I was denied anyway by her reasons she stated.
Here is how my interview went.

Me: Good Day Ma.
VO: Good Day Son.
Me: How are you doing.
Vo: I'm wonderful. You Williams right?
Me: Yes.
VO: Woow! You're s☺ tall, you like Michael Jordan, you play basketball.
Me: Yes Ma.
VO: What School are you applying to?
Me: Purdue Unoversity Calumet.
VO: Where's it located in the Us?
Me: Hammond, a city Northwest of Indiana state.
VO: Great... Like how cold is your school?
Me: during Winter is very cold, Temp vary from -1c to -10c.
VO: Woow! Seems you really know this school that much, How did you know about the school?
Me: My course Advicer was an alumni of the school and he told me much about the school how friendly and willing the professors are and it has a good curriculum and security system.

VO: She took my passport and was about to say those magical words and suddenly she screamed woooooooooooooooow! You I-20 reads resumption date of 12th August and it says not later than that date. I intend issuing you a visa by then, s☺ I can't. You have to tell the school to write to us for an extension.
Me: I was shocked couldn't talk again.
VO: Don't worry son, its for your own good. You may be deported at the Us airport for this, s☺ which is wise? Re applying or deporting?
Me: Still shocked as she handed me those papers. #sad faced#...

I take back what I said early, I had confused Concord University with Concordia University. From what I see on your chosen school's website, it is a 4yr public college so you are good to go.

I think she was right. If you were granted, your passport would have been ready by friday or monday(2-3 days time) and monday is August 12, which is your school resumption date, thus making your travel plans impossible except your school granted you your resumption date extension of, say, 1 week (august 19), only then would that have saved you. And if you had the date extension letter with you, you would have tendered it to the lady who could then have changed her decision.

At this point, email your school asking for an extension for like 1 or 2 weeks. If they agree they should write to the embassy. The embassy will take it up from there.

@lentywilly, is that really a denial? She said to tell your school to write for an extension and you come back for another interview to claim your visa. I think you should contact your school asap and let them know of this development and you can then take it up from there.

@bigfrancis, did you ever use WES for your applications? Wanna clarify some info on this verification stuff

That's so sad... I'm sure you will get it if the school write the embassy and if you choose to defer, just remember all the answers to her question in this interview cos they keep records.. Just give the whatever VO that interview you next and they will issue you VISA.. Spring 2014 is around the corner..

I consider you to have the VISA already if not for the resumption date.

Why using Fedex when NIPOST does the job in 10 days?

Fedex will get the transcripts delivered faster than NIPOST thus enabling WES to act faster on it and contact his UG school for verification, thus saving time. He doesn't have much time left as he's applying for Spring 2014.

Is the verification from the schools done via email/postmail? Is it either/or thing? I see UNN verifies via email which makes it faster,dunno about other schools.Wanna evaluate my transcript speedily and store it once and for all at WES. I believe that an extension letter would make a new I-20 unnecessary.It should cover you for the period of the extension.

One VO at counter 7, the only guy there denies visa as if he is Obama.
I don't know why men are that hardened.

No, you don't need a new I20. The truth is that you applied quite late for your visa. You should have applied earlier or even used the emergency date option to get a much earlier date this month or late last month. And even with your late visa appointment, you should have written to your school asking for an extension which you would have then printed and taken to the embassy to support your case.

Your interview went very well. You were only denied because of the coincidence of your school's resumption date with your supposed passport pick up date. Which meant that you were planning to travel a few days after your school's resumption date. And according to the woman, you're likely to be denied at the POE for late resumption, except if you had an extension grant from your school which you would tender to the immigrations officials to support your late resumption.

No, you cannot use the emergency option again since you've already been denied. The requirement states that you must not have been denied US visa in the last 6 months.

At this point, the best thing to do will be to defer to spring to allow you enough time to prepare and travel.
