frosbel2: SATAN HAS INSPIRED YOU TO TWIST THE BIBLE AND DECEIVE MANY. STOP SPREADING FALSE TEACHINGS. ITS SATAN THAT IS MANIPULATING YOU. YOU ARE JUST CRYING APOSTOLIC FAITH FOR NOTHING. CRY ME OH RIVER. |

Bobbysworld28: Frosbel, u can be insolent o! U mean my gospel is rejected because I do not agree with u? Suppose I am a new convert asking u these fundamental questions, is dt how u would treat me? THATS HIS STYLE. ONCE YOU REJECT HIS SATAN INSPIRED DOCTRINE HE BEGINS. HE IS A DISGRACE AND SHAME TO CHRISTIANITY WITH HIS FALSE TEACHING WHICH HE IS USING TO DECEIVE MANY. HOW CAN ONE MAN FEEL THAT EVERYBODY SHOULD BOW TO HIS USELESS AND LAME ONE-MAN BIBLE RESEARCH? I CAN ONLY DO THAT WHEN I DECIDE TO FEAST WITH SATAN, AND OF COURSE I CANT(BY GOD'S GRACE). ANY TEACHING THAT I AM NOT CONVINCED ABOUT, I WONT ACCEPT. THANK YOU FOR THE STEPS YOU HAVE TAKEN IN THIS THREAD. YOU CALLED THEM TO CONVINCE YOU AND UP TILL NOW THEY RECORDED SERIAL FAILURE. AND ON TOP OF IT HE IS MAKING NOISE. THANKS MY BROTHER. |

Bobbysworld28: @ijawkid you guys ever take it into consideration that the bible was written about these people in the 3rd person? these prophets did not perform interviews which were then inscribed into tabs, which were later printed in the bible...third parties wrote the bible and could have put anything in these texts claiming them to be gospel. I'm just saying. Take the bible for what it's worth..a book of lessons not to be taken literal. |
Re: What Is The State Of The Dead? by alexleo(m): 8:44pm On Apr 12, 2013 |
ijawkid: why should i say its a parable when its not? your points are not convincing enough for me to accept its a parable. IT IS NOT A PARABLE. I cannot buy a product am not convinced about. Etisalat cannot just jump into the market and tell me to drop my MTN which i ve used for several years without convincing me enough why their product is better than the MTN. I cant drop it by their telling me to drop it rather by their strong conviction. And of course conviction becomes strong when all the objections i raise becomes weakened or totally wiped out not just in your mind but in my own mind too as the buyer. You people are forcing your product on us. Thats the characteristics of fake product marketers. |

alexleo: the bolded is funny...because right in front of your eyes I have proved that that story was a parable..... you dey deny am... no one is forcing any product on you...we would only continue to do our adverts well like glo until you leave your mtn line.... |
Re: What Is The State Of The Dead? by Nobody: 9:20pm On Apr 12, 2013 |
@ijawkid Sorry bro, u never proved it was a parable. U couldn't prove it was. Until u r able to, u can't swing me. Regarding ur explanation, I hv a few questions 1) Wht does hell signify in d passsage? 2) Wht does d rich mans anguish signify? 3) Did Jesus make up d story by using a place dt doesn't exist? 4) Did Jesus lie abt d afterlife? |
Re: What Is The State Of The Dead? by Nobody: 9:25pm On Apr 12, 2013 |
@msdarkskin Sorry I cannot accept dt Jesus' words be taken with a pinch of salt. We will talk abt d validity or nt of d bible in anoda thread. D ground rules of this thread is dt we are believers in d written word & seek to establish truths therein |

ijawkid: If you care to. What i wont take is someone employing unneccesary tactics- church accusations and all that to impose his doctrine on me. keep stating your points while i keep stating mine if i care to. A fake products seller is only interested in people grabing his product whether you like it or not. But a marketer of a genuine product will take the pains to convince you about his product so that your interest in holding on to their product will be very strong. And so that you can convince others too. They are ready to handle all your objections, questions and issues calmly provided the aim(which is to convince you) is achieved. and of course your so called parable proof is not convincing |

Bobbysworld28: @msdarkskin my man it's just like the brother k2 said earlier in the thread: k2039: Simple, believe anyone you want to believe. I will not fight you on this. You have every right to feel the way you do. I'm just saying take it under consideration that the bible has been rewritten and edited many a times. |

I like following intellectual discourses on Scriptures like this one. Please, keep this clean. Lots of people benefit from such. Just to add some points for consideration:- * It is clear from the story in question(of the rich man and Lazarus) that Jesus was referring to Abraham in Scripture. Wouldn't it amount to lying against him(saying things about him which did not happen) if that story was a parable and not a real story? * I will also want us to be cautious in applying human standards to spiritual things. In God's sight, sin is sin. All have sinned. The wages of sin is death. Man may say it is unjust to sentence a liar to the same "death" that a mass murderer is sentenced to. But God's ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts higher than ours. So, if it could be established that the rich man did wrong, he was guilty of sin(Lazarus was covered with sores, hungry(longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table) and lay at his(the rich man's) gate. It will be a very remote proposition to assume that the rich man never saw him and as such never had the opportunity of helping him. All in all, the painted scenario will do his case more harm than good.) My 2 cents though. I am really interested in this discussion, please keep digging up Scriptures, @All. |
