No offense, If you're rich, yet uneducated, I cannot marry you. I am one of those that believe education is a priority. No Education, buhbye! No, I don't think she'll be proud of him. I am speaking from my perceptive, because I would not be proud to show him to my friends, talkless of my family. Can't get home from work and trying to hold a conversation with my hubby, talking to him about point Q, but him not understanding how I got from point A to B. Sorry! No can do! |

If she can't deal with it, then she should leave him and let it be. but hope she doesn't later say "had i known" |

Just because he didn't see the four walls of a classroom does not limit him. He can learn even outside a classroom. Like some people who go/went to school know better? Education is not limited to the halls of a school if one is willing to learn. I agree with Thoniaslim, if she can't get pass this, she best be moving on to an educated man whose credentials she can present to people We want them educated We want them rich They cannot be rich and not educated They cannot be educated and not rich Bahhh i tire for people wahala |

I don't know, I always said I would like an educated man, because I am educated; but if she loves him, I guess it shouldn't matter. |

@ OP: I think your "friend" is pretty stuck-up! So, the guy's not as educated as "she" is, does that make your "friend" better? Part of the reason we get educated, is to be able to better ourselves, earn a decent wage, and cater for our families in future. This guy can't be an idiot, if he's made it without "polish" from formal education, in a country where even graduates struggle. I think you or your "friend" need to evaluate the way you think. Personally, if I was the guy, I'd run like the devil was after me with an axe. Away from, definitely not towards you. People with such retarded mindsets as your "friend" certainly couldn't have benefited from their education. |

@ poster, i am a graduate and dating a Guy that does not have a degree certificate. Now i will tell you something, certificate does not place food on the table, certificate cnnot take care of you. It is a piece of paper conferred on somebody. Life is about development. My man reads alot of books and unless i tell you, you wouldn't know he is not a graduate. I would agree that his speech is not that perfect but i help me all the way, i studied languages. I tell you that he is much more knowledgable and focused than some so-called graduates i meet. Education is good but you must not be in a four-walled classroom before you are classified as educated. The Books you read and the association you keep can get you educated but only the wise know this. These would boost his carriage and person. You have to look at the contents of a container rather than the container itself. The Heart is the thing to consider. Help him out. Encourage him to learn. Well i believe wisdom comes more with age. At a time i reasoned like your friend. I never believed i could ever date a non-graduate. How now? What happened to all the male graduates? But i am so blessed by the choice i have made. Be wise!!! |
