EFOSA VAL: @marylandcake, your style selection will help you determine what perticular fabric to use.all the fabrics you mentioned will give u defferent effect if you use that to make the same style wink
So my advice is determine your end result then select the fabric u think will give you a better result.hope this help.

@Evicshola am happy u are following too,as for the botton you can add if you want or not.for the sleeve u might need an actual class or a physical tutor on it.

@Temibayo cheesy sorry I don't stay around ikorodu and thus I do not know any fashion school in that area.

Thanks.
Why is no one posting pictures?

Thanks for your response, i ended up getting silk satin and lace. And i hope to sew a long evening dress with a bottom flare. Wish me luck because ive never done this before.

@ Efosa Val, please hope it isn't too late to ask a question on the jacket. cry
Just started working on mine today. And I don't know how to determine the size of the pocket or where to place it on the fabric (how high or low or equally on both sides of the seam).
Please, can you help me out. Or anyone who has worked on theirs. Thanks cheesy
I will post my finished work before the end of the week, hopefully.

Re: A “SEW ALONG” THREAD For Sewing Enthusiasts/Tailors/Fashion Designers:DECEMBER by onnari(f): 10:11pm On Nov 25, 2013
So I'm posting my photos and thought to select simple pieces as I'd like to engage more of beginners and people who are relatively new to sewing so they don't feel left out or frustrated by complex pieces.

Hello Colleagues,
I have a suggestion to render... As the year is rounding off, i suggest that we do a simple outfit as the moderators or tutors (Onnari & Efosa) should make a list of projects that we will carry out from january till december, so that we will prepare on time and avoid this continuous posting of pics and debating on which one to embark on.
Thanx all.....

cheesycheesygrin woooo shocked girl this is so lovelywink
First of all well done and thanks for finishing.

So here are my obsavations.the first is on the shoulder,it looks abit too long for ur shape.so when making a next one please try to reduce the lenght by 1 inch on both sides.note that the shoulder cut is not as deep as the way we cut for blouses.
Secondly it seems ur rist measurement is a bit tight.needs like an inch plus.
Lastly the measurement on ur hip seems abit tight for u so it might need like an inch or 2 for a next time projectwink

Ur waist line wink hummm perfect, bust line perfect,ur bias insertion is also excellent.wink well done babes well done.

To all, great job people while voting.pls make sure u vote for ur best easy to sew out fit, who knows u just might wear it for christmas cheesy
