speedyboi: SMH...anything that's not done in Naija, Leaders are the reason....it has become an anthem. Bros, we blame our leaders because they are heftily paid to do basic routine jobs & they are not delivering. It is their full responsibility to oversee what their surbodinates are doing. If your houseboys pours trash in front of your house instead of inside the dustin, and the authorities are looking for who to fine, who will they ask for to hold accountable? The occupant or the houseboy? Pls stop defending irresponsible uncaring leaders 5 Likes |

speedyboi: SMH...anything that's not done in Naija, Leaders are the reason....it has become an anthem.Stop thinking like a daft. When has it become the responsibility of FERMA to maintain traffic lights and roads in a municipal area?Try check out the meaning of FERMA before you start exhibiting your show of stack illiteracy. The function of FERMA if you must know is to maintain federal roads also be informed that there is a department in FCTA called(FCDA) that is charged with the responsibility of road maintenance.Secondly, If the authority in charge of waste disposal make provision for proper waste disposal why will the people in such area throw dirts into drainage system?Try to think properly my friend |

Stop spending money on Abuja, it's just a city of white elephants. Lagos State is the heart and soul of the country. More federal money should be used to beautify Nigeria's megacity. It was a mistake for the federal government to leave Lagos. Lagos needs that beautification more than ever. But things are getting better, thank God. When we have Eko Atlantic completed, maybe the federal government would want to move back down again. |

thelastPope:My friend the dude spoke the truth. What made you to even bring up the name of US when discussing bad roads and you even went the extra mile by comparing roads in Cali to Nigerian roads by further posting pictures.I have travelled over 14 states beginning from Texas to New York and i never seen any single bad road on my numerous trips. That is not to say there are no bad roads in the US but for the comparison that is not acceptable. So kindly retract that your post |

thelastPope: Whether you posted article from a website or not, ultimately, you are responsible for the post. Obviously, you believed so much in the article, hence, your posting it. Stop trolling all over the web looking for article to post on this forum, if you are not man enough to stand by it. Very typical of Nigerians, nobody ever wants to be responsible for his/her actions. It's always, 'it's not me, it's the other person'. COWARD! |

@OP Do you stay in Abuja or just visiting? Though I noticed some of the street lights are dead but I also noticed that some of them are coming alive like one along Adewole adetokunbo crescent by Ekwa church junction Wuse 2. I think the FCT maintenance Unit needs to wake up to its responsibilities and improve its response time to. carrying out maitenances on these lights. It's unfortunate that the present FCT Minister is the most inefficient Minister that has headed the FCT. The Minister is fund-starving many Agencies in the FCT while he's busy amassing money for his governorship ambition for Bauchi state. 1 Like |

thelastPope:Why i won't exchange words with you is first you appear like a juvenile.Secondly i thought you posted your comment out of authenticity or first hand experience of these roads but i see you didn't instead you went to search through Google for bad roads in America just to discredit the dude's post.SMH thats very poor of you.I bet you if you have seen the inter-state roads in the US you won't have even thought of using Google to search for fairy tales in order to discredit his post a typical draw-down syndrome commonly found amongst Nigerians within Nigeria and in diaspora.Again i say go retract that post son. |

Diasporan: You are a typical white man's slave. You are suffering from Identity crisis. You are soooo lost. First, your comments show you didnt even read my post, yet you commented on my post. That is a typical sign that you were poorly educated. Please ask your teacher for a refund! If you want to join a debate, always read the articles. Then you can respond better. Stop acting on impulse. Read carefully. You sound like those dudes who always ask for the summary of the article. Abeg shift! |

thelastPope:Mr! I don't know what you are trying to prove here. Do you want the authorities responsible for maintenance to sit up? Do you want it to continue like this and come on the media to speak good of them? Why are you comparing us to others who are failing? Does it mean that since others are defaulting, we should follow suit? What's your point? Mr! Spirit of comparative destiny isn't good for you. |

@ OP : Most of the traffic lights you posted are presently working as I type. Example is the first pic @ wuse zone 3, its perfectly working and being powered by solar modules. If you drive round Abj you wolud notice that most of the traffic lights are currently working as a result of the recent repairs and you would also notice that most of them are now powered by sloar means. But the worrisome trend is that of the blocked drainages especially in Zone 3 like I see in one of your pics. I. Could up-load pics if needed to prove that the first traffic light in ur post is working prefectly as of this moment. Please don't mislead people. |
