Offer Letter In Jos Or Kadunna Confused by lumideezle(m): 7:02pm On May 03, 2013 |
Hello People, Ok I'm going to make this as brief as possible so as not to bore you guys out I got A Job offeer from one of the major multinationals in the country in the FMCG field, now this offer is pretty Juicy so forgoing it is not an option. The only problem I have now is that the offer location is in Jos or Kadunna and I am based in Lagos at the moment, infact I've only been to the north once in my entire life and I spent just 3days there . My Question now is which of these locations should I choose considering the security challenges in these locations. Which is beta ? Please I'll really appreciate responces from people that live in these locations because I am really confused @ d momoent |

I do business in both Lagos and Jos and thus live there. Jos city is more peaceful of the two, most of the so called security challenges you hear of in the past 3 years as "jos" happens well outside jos(Plateau State). Its like avoiding working in VI because there are attacks in Badagry. Also, cost of living is cheaper in Jos. and hey, the retail size of Plateau State is also huge. Im sure the Multinational FMCG knows how much sales they generate in a month there. the figures ive seen are sure impressive 7 Likes |

Jos all the way. Be it weather, security, entertainment, cost of living. Forget all that news you hear about attacks in jos, they are mostly in other parts of Plateau and not Jos itself. Coming from someone that stays in Jos. 5 Likes |

Hello. I live and work In Jos and I must say that it is a very nice place to live. You need to get good advice concerning where you get an accommodation though. Food isn't expensive and you'll love the cool weather. I strongly recommend Jos. |

My brother, it depends in wat part of Kaduna. My Bro served in KD and he made me understand that Southern Kaduna is more secure and fun than Northern Kaduna. As for Jos, i wouldn't say but i won't advice even my enemy. I'll say KD(if its southern) 6 Likes |

sholatech: I do business in both Lagos and Jos and thus live there. Jos city is more peaceful of the two, most of the so called security challenges you hear of in the past 3 years as "jos" happens well outside jos(Plateau State). Its like avoiding working in VI because there are attacks in Badagry. A very simple scenario!! One day you decide to go to Badagry with your colleagues for an outing at that superb 'Suya Joint' they have been inundating you about.20 min later you smell the strange smell of burnt flesh but you assume that it is the suya meat burning. Unbeknownst to everyone at the joint, a Muslim youth had just been murdered and Badagry is slowly becoming a war zone. Alas the funny smell you thought was Suya is the burning flesh of the victims of reprisal attacks from the Muslim youths. Sweat trickle down your spine at the thought of been turn into the very Suya you are now finding hard to swallow. You are now paralysed with fear, this is not your town. Where do you run to? you look right and left and notice that your work colleagues and the Suya man have all evaporated. You are stuck, you are Bleep..ED Then suddenly, you have an epiphany! Why the f.uck did you take the job. Next second, you are now a suya meat. 11 Likes |
