The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Bamanga Tukur, at the weekend said the recently held bye-election in his home state, Adamawa, which was won by the ruling party, was marred by “underhand deals”.

Mr. Tukur said although he was excited his party won the elections, there were some shady deals involving highly placed politicians in the state.

The PDP leader, who spoke while receiving members of the party from the state, led by former senator, Grace Bent, however, refused to reveal the nature of the “under hand deals”.

He said he will only speak about the deals at the appropriate time.
