Yesterday evening, a news crew from ONTV hit was asking everyone how they think democracy has fared since 1999. My opinion was that we are not where we ought to be yet, and the journey is painfully slow. I believe we will get there one day. The only thing 'happy' about today is that I'm cheating my employer out of today's labor, and I'll still get paid. There's been no power supply in this area, fare from the junction to my house doubles when it rains because the roads are just barely passable, yet we have leaders we voted for. Happy Demowhat?? What's your opinion? Are you disappointed in Nigeria's rule of democracy? Have your expectations been met? #Happy Democracy Day! Long Live Nigeria! |
