The data i posted was dated 2008 which is just a few years back. If you have any data where those Mullatos claimed to be black then we'd like to see it.

This isn't from wikipedia - this is from a verified source(GuardianUK):

Brazil census shows African-Brazilians in the majority for the first time

The IBGE said that while its researchers had detected the trend about three years ago, the 2010 census was the first full nationwide study to recognise the phenomenon.

In an interview last year Brazil's minister for racial equality, Elio Ferreira de Araujo, attributed the change to growing pride among his country's black and indigenous communities.

"People are no longer scared of identifying themselves or insecure about saying: 'I'm black, and black is beautiful,'" he told the Guardian.

Ivonete Carvalho, from the government's racial equality ministry, said African-Brazilians were increasingly willing to stand up and be counted: "I'm here. I'm me. I'm not ashamed of my history."

Race campaigners welcomed the growing number of self-declared African-Brazilians, but the census also underlined how the vast social divide between Brazil's white and non-white populations persists.

Why should it be classified as black and not the other half.

Because being bi-racial means you have MELANIN, the chemical that gives your skin COLOUR. Meaning you should be classified as black not white. White means 'no melanin'. Black (plus Asian etc) means 'melanin'.

What they meant is that there are Caucasians in those regions and not everyone in those regions are Caucasians. The term "Caucasian" is associated with people with very white skin and not just every so-called white person.
LOL. You are really a mugu. So Caucasian=people with very white skin. LMAO. Did you miss this quote: "without regard necessarily to skin tone"?

Caucasian race (also Caucasoid)[1] is the general physical type of some or all of the populations of Europe, North Africa, the Horn of Africa, Western, Central and South Asia.[2] Historically, the term was used for many people from these regions, without regard necessarily to skin tone.

In the United States, the term Caucasian has been mainly used to describe a group commonly called Whites, as defined by the government and Census Bureau

Did you read the link?

Arguing with you sometimes is like arguing with a table, tbh. grin

Even the president of Brazil has alluded to the same thing on several occasions, hence they've got something similar to affirmative action now, to make more people align with their blackness.

Brazil has the 2nd largest population of black people - you may google that as well.

I will tell you without mincing words; one thing I hate the most is somebody arguing from the position of ignorance and with confidence. I really cannot help but tell you as it is.

I'm not arguing against what you think. What led to all this is the fact that someone chose to term the likes of Ronaldinho and Ronaldo as blacks to support his assertion that blacks are better at football than whites. Even though these people have black blood(whatever that means), they're not your typical black people. They have something else inside of them. Whether they identify as Black or Mullato was not the initial argument. I know a black person when i see one.

The definition of the term "black" is different in Africa from the diaspora. Most countries out here still go by the one-drop rule; or just by having black features. Mariah Carey doesn't look black at all(even to most people in Diaspora) but she's black and she aligns with her blackness.

Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Thiago Silva, Neymar, Rivaldo, Romario et al are black(Afro Brazilian).

Kaka is white Brazilian.

Japan was too gud in dis match, wit accurate passes, made gud of their corner kicks, but were defeated by italians,, i pray dat God will favour Nigeria today as he favoured italians yesternite

Infact,Japan played the best match so far in this tournament.Even Spain,Brazil or any other team can't beat this display by the Japanese..It's so annoying the italians won.The best team had been knocked out unjustifiably in this tournament. And if you miss the match, you have missed a match you will never get to watch in the next century..
