adeaugustus:
Those guys (Sergey and Larry) graduated from University, they dropped out of their Phd program, take note that what was supposed to be their Phd thesis is what we know as Google today.

As fo Bill, the guy has been an high flyer, right from junior high, he wrote his first software(program) when he was 15.

Stop trying to inspire people with fake stories, you're damaging lifes with those s.illy lies, ok?

This thread is a life damaging thread indeed. Anything that preaches drop out of school looks fishy.

Just to clarify, a person who has a secondary school certificate is technically literate. Please, don't encourage anyone to drop out of secondary school.

Becoming a graduate is now a staus symbol, a sort of learning how to read and write...common sense is not taught in schools, you learn faster from what you see and do around you...our fore fathers that were illiterates were wiser than us...marrying a graduate does not make your marriage a success..

Anyone that worships money is doomed!I think d love of money has done more harm than good 2 nigeria and nigerians.Money loses it's value when there's disorderliness in d society and it takes educated minds 2 create an ordered society. Those enterpreneurs we keep talkn abt can never create a better society because most enterpreneurs are self centered and care less abt society.

naijathings: [size=18pt]When you meet a man or woman who has common sense and natural management skills and is street-wise and knows how to keep your secret and is homely, cheerful, honest.... then you start asking for a degree just because you MUST marry a graduate.. then you yourself have failed in wisdom.
Some graduates are the most stuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuupid people you will ever come across. they are stiff necked and rely only on what they read in the books. But Some graduates are cool. I learn from everything I see, History, Movies, Books, Music, Street Life and the life of others and I do not live my life based on a degree or the qualifications I have... Many SUPER INTELLIGENT people did not go to school because they never had the privilledge to to so. When you find the one for you, you will know.. and then it MIGHT BE a foolish thing to start intimidating the person with your qualification. I rather have a person who can make things happen than someone who feels they are SUPERHUMAN just because they went to school

IN THE NIGERIAN SITUATION, THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE EDUCATED AND UNEDUCATED.

First of all, you know Nigeria is a third world country.
Not being able to acquire a degree is already a big minus unless youre entrepreneural and smart.

Then we have the issue of enlightenment and exposure. Things that a university graduate find funny and interesting might be of no use to an illiterate.
the level of reasoning no go dey the same abeg.
Those are things you just dont learn on the streets.

IF I FIND A GOOD GIRL, I WILL MARRY HER.
GRADUATE OR NOT!!

Hey guys! I don't have a degree and am married to a pretty lady 9years younger and she is got a masters.before you start thinking it most be for the money it wasn't, I was so broke, it was difficult to pay attention if you get my joke.

To have a degree is always a splendid idea, but its imprtance shouldn't be over stressed particularly in marriage, maybe this thread should be asking can you marry a person who can't read or write? anyway this is just my opinion.
