With the rate of inflation almost reaching double digit, stocks all plunging down interest rate from bank nothing to write home about is it worth saving your money in the bank. You notice you save your money in the bank and the banks give you peanut after using it for transaction, but if you are to go to a bank seeking for loan that same bank would charge intrest rate at more than 17% with other sevice charge included, so over to you 'nairalander's,since our goverment can afford minting out Naira note nonstop which increases inflation rate,is it still wise saving money in the bank or anywhere else?

I'm not a supporter of this government but the latest inflation figure by the NBS has it that inflation is still maintaining single digit at about 8%. The issue of interest rate, the CBN governor recently ruled out the possibility of it coming down soon. My question is "are the prices of goods and services really going up persistently now in the country?"

They go up and never come down, our goverment is just toying with us, they give you with the right hand and collect with the left. 5 million in the bank today would be worth 4.7million tomorrow eventhough you are still seeing 5mill in your account
