Show you one Igbo man that fought against an armed oppressive government? Just one? or led a protest?

I'm sure you are already armed with example of Yorubas that have done such... Woleshi and Abiola etc... protesting against subsidy and IBB etc...

Well, sorry, boy... but there aint even half of an Igbo that has done that...
and none ever will ... not against Nigeria anyways...
Nigeria we love so much....
especially Lagos...
its natives and Gov. Fashola that sells land to us and plants flowers for us... beautifying the city with out tax money... why should even a quarter of an Igbo man fight against such a country like that? Na One Nigeria we dey so... and na so e go be...

go and look under your bed or for anyone else that has taken otapiapia because of Nigeria....

Forward ever! Backward? Nevaaaa!!!

Lagos ever! Haters never!!!

Just like the Obi of Onitsha was a Hausa man imposed by the Brits. That's why they are you lords and masters who can give and take your lives at will, while the Yorubas are those that educate you, feed you and clothe you starting from Awo to BRF. That's why the Hausas can do whatever they like and none of your lily livered leaders can fight. It's only Yorubas that have shown they are fearless in the face of death, guns, threats ever since independence. Even the bravest of your people fled to Ivory Coast dressed like a pregnant woman. Show me one Igbo man that has fought against an armed oppressive government or led a protest. Just one ,

Yoruba peeps are ridiculously funny. So public nuisance or disturbance of public peace is now construed as fight. No wonder wrestling matches have been advertised as Kiriji wars.

Onlytruth: I shall keep advising Ndigbo to NEVER react to a provocation the way the provocateur expected. This is one weakness we have as a people and I keep seeing it repeated over and over again, with some of our people advising us to keep making the same mistake.
I cannot recall the number of times we were manipulated out of our locations in various parts of Nigeria, and all we did was to pack and go "home", when in fact we shouldn't. I insist that our smartest response should be the opposite, because maybe, just maybe our enemies will die of heart attack when they see that they failed to achieve their main objective.

The smartest Igbo response to this is for our governors to continue developing the East at the pace they are doing, and for our people to stay put (at least for now) in Lagos and such other places.
We must choose when to react -THEY MUST NEVER CHOOSE FOR US.

From the mind of a strategic thinker.

You have spoken like a true leader,Eze-Igbo; We must use dialogue and logic to fight and not engage them in any sort of fight or riots. There is a court system and we must make do with that when we feel we are been maltreated. Ndigbo mustn't run from their problems but must confront it head-on with wisdom. We must never close our business and go for any reason and let some lazy lots to reap from our wealth. We must keep investing aggressivelly both at home and any part of Nigeria we can find success. This is whom we are and we must live our life. Eventually, this noise makers will have to fight the system in other to fight us just like in USA,where the Jewish nation invested so much but you hardly see them around.

YOU ARE ALL A DISGRACE TO NIGERIA USING TRIBALISM TO SLOW THE GROWTH OF OUR COUNTRY. WHAT DO YOU EXPECT THE NEXT GENERATION TO LEARN FROM THIS
Re: Heavy Riot At Ladipo Market by MitchDLeo(m): 5:08pm On Jul 28, 2013
IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT NIGERIA LOOKS LIKE TODAY, THE MOST IMPORTANT THING WE YOUTHS SHOULD BE DISCUSSING ABOUT IS NIGERIA'S FUTURE. DUBAI, CHINA, AMERICA, UK E.T.C WERE ONCE LIKE US BUT BECAME DEVELOPED BECAUSE THE YOUTHS WERE INNOVATIVE. NIGERIA WILL NOT GET ANYWHERE IF WE KEEP ABUSING OURSELVES LIKE THESE. I WONT BE SURPRISED IF IN 30 YEARS ALL THE COUNTRIES IN ECOWAS ARE AS DEVELOPED AS UK EXCEPT NIGERIA.

Much as igbos are getting ready to defend their hard earned property in lagos, I would suggest that igbos in th government team up and use their privileged position to have the government invest in new commercial capitals this could be in kogi state or cross river state where there is ample land space and close to the sea, the relocation of oil companies headquarters in lagos should be hastened to the Niger delta states, the relocation of cbn and the banking headquarters to abuja should also be implemented, the ncc should also have all the telecommunications firms move their headquarters and data centres to abuja to aid in easier supervision of the business and transactions, the idea of ibaka becoming the eastern maritime hub will not be be a bad idea to help decongest lagos ports. Jonathan should have these on his drawing board by now , these will help him have a smoother second term devoid of the unusual stupid criticism and name calling from a section of the country who wouldbe kept busy by then wworrying of whatever is remaining of their economic parasitism

Nonsense, Lagos was a thriving port before the British came. It was not the capital of Nigeria then. In fact, there was nothing like Nigeria then.

Pre-colonial history[edit]

Prior to the Portuguese name of Lagos being adopted, Lagos was called Eko, which stems from either Oko (Yoruba: "cassava farm"wink or Eko ("war camp"wink, by its Bini conquerors. In the 15th century the Benin Empire (1440–1897), a pre-colonial African state in what is now southwestern Nigeria and locally calledBini, was the main power in this area. The Ancient Benin Empire gained political strength and ascendancy over much of what is now Mid-Western and Western Nigeria, with the Oyo Empire bordering it on the west, the Niger river on the east, and the northerly lands succumbing to Fulani Muslim invasion in the North. Interestingly, much of what is now known as Western Iboland and even Yorubaland was conquered by the Benin Kingdom in the late 19th century - Agbor (Ika), Akure, Owo and even the present day Lagos Island, which was named "Eko" meaning "War Camp" by the Bini. [1]The present day Monarchy of Lagos Island did not come directly from Ile-Ife, but from Bini/Benin, and this can be seen up till in the attire of the Oba and High Chiefs of Lagos, and in the street and area names of Lagos Island which are Yoruba corruptions of Benin names (Idumagbo, Idumota, Igbosere etc.). Other parts of the present day Lagos State were under Ijebu (fiercely resisting domination by the Oyo Empire) and Egun (tossed between the Dahomey Kingdom, with its seat in present day Republic of Benin, and the Oyo Kingdom).[2]

How much of yoruba is in the history of lagos,
