July 31, 2013 (MMD Newswire) -- NUMATVILLE project holds first stakeholders forum in Abuja. The promoters of the Nigerian Unity Museum and Trade –Tourism Village project have concluded arrangements to hold its first stakeholder's forum, billed to hold on September 24, 2013, at the This day Dome, Abuja Nigeria.

According to Dr. Akin Olowookere, the boss of Zion Services Ltd, the company behind the project, the forum will bring together all the stakeholders in the project to deliberate on finding ways to concretize the unity of the nation. Dr. Olowookere, a retired Naval Lieutenant, said the Nigerian Unity Village project was conceived to ensure that Nigerians have a common sense of purpose in matters affecting the country. Speaking on the importance of the project, which will be executed in conjunction with the Federal Ministry of Lands and Housing, Olowookere said: "For me as a Nigerian, I believe that I am here for a purpose and that I should leave Nigeria better than I met it. Don't forget that it took the blood and pain of some people to make this country the way it is today. So for me, I feel challenged that I should leave it better than it is today for my offspring and those yet unborn.

"While thinking about this, I was able to identify a problem. I discovered that it is not an easy task for anyone to tour the 774 local governments in the country and get to know a lot about them. So I came up with the idea that we can put Nigeria in a capsule form that it would be easy for anyone to go through the whole country and know about it within a few months. And within this period, you can have first-hand knowledge of the history, commerce, alternative medicine agriculture and natural resources of all the 36 states and local governments.

"This kind of project will not only promote tourism, but will also make visiting the country a very rewarding exercise. If you go to Abuja, you will only see the city gate. But it should take more than that to cement the unity of this country. After the civil war, a lot was been done to heal the wounds. We have inter-tribal marriages and all that, but more still has to be done. Our vision is to have a village within the federal capital territory where visitors will have a means of interaction and interface with every community, tribes and states in Nigeria. "Speaking further, Olowookere said the village will avail Nigerians the opportunity to showcase the tourism, commercial and cultural essence of each tribe, and called on Nigerians to join hands in the effort to develop the country.

"The village will also avail Nigerians the opportunity to showcase our tourism and commercial potentials. It is also an opportunity for all Nigerians to contribute to the development of the country."

All the members of the public are invited to participate in the forum.

The point in history at which we stand is full of promise and danger. The world will either move forward toward unity and widely shared prosperity - or it will move apart.
