Welcome Sir, the truth is that no matter how large the land is at the ground, it could still be put to future use as we dont know the pace of development that will happen here in the next few years. It is sometimes better to conserve ground space by doing the shoot out and saving 2 feet around the house on the ground floor. To others, it adds to the architectural appreciation of the house.

The tree is blocking entrance of vehicles into the compound, blocking the supply of materials.

Get up there and remove 3 lines of blocks fast! This window is going to supply illumination to the lobby, staircase well and the lobby downstairs, we need it to be larger than that please.

In the past few days, we have been buying bamboos locally (limited availability). But my carpenters have been around and working on the scaffolding for the next few stages of the work. This scaffold is meant to carry the rest of the jobs here from the parapet workers, roof works, plastering, window fixing and hoods, Pillar works, block marking and every other design in this house.

The block pillars also grew some more.

Frontal looks.

We have started taking delivery of parapet materials, this special sized chipping stones just arrived.

More materials also planned to land today as we commence the parapet works.

Yes Sir, I am aware. However, I am accustomed to a solid concrete foundation, even though compacted sand and / clay are a good alternative depending on the water table. In the US, sand is avoided, especially where there are moisture barrier issues. I am simply trying to figure out how much more, in your opinion, it would cost to use only poured concrete?

Like pouring the whole space for sand with only concrete all the way till the foundation slab? Well, will depend on how deep your foundation is.
