If you actually believe that the efforts to revitalize the rail line between Lagos and Kano was perfected by GEJ in 2-3 years then you are either quite a dullard, or too partisan to be honest, to even yourself. The revitalization program started with OBJ's regime which awarded the contract to revitalize the said rail line to a Chinese company. Endemic corruption during that period did not allow the project to see the light of day until Yar'Adua put a freeze on the contract by withholding funding for the project. Yar'Adua went ahead to restructure the contract and put in place cleaner and more realistic plans to implement the construction contract. As we all know, YarAdua left us before he could see the project to completion.

GEJ inherited and implemented the framework left behind by Yar'Adua quite easily, the real credit belongs to Yar'Adua. Go and read up the reason why Yar'Adua froze the countract and how he restructured it before his death
. You fools are now claiming that GEJ did it all in 2-3years. You sir, need to bury your head in shame for dispicable dishonesty. Stop misinforming gullible people. dolo

You are not just a Dullard, but a very fooolish one at that. Why fooolish? Cos for all d time you've spent on NL and d many backandforth bw you and I, you hv still not learnt that it is 'Dangerous' arguing with me if you are an IGNORAMUS; and esp if that Ignorance is exhibited Confidently!!....Thd Contract OBJ signed with d Chinese in 2006, which Yar'adua cancelled when he came in and broke into bits, was NOT for the Restoration of this Particle Lagos-Kano Narrow Guage, but for a proposed $8.3billion Modern Double Track Standard Lagos-Kano. Yr entire 'Argument' (ie assuming if you strictly speaking had any previous) just went Dead.. PieceofAdvice: Learn to keep yr mouth SHUT in public if you do not know what d helll for are talking. You come across as an intellectual midget.

You forgot to acknowledge Lord Lugard who laid the first rail tracks in 1906, because without it, there will be no tracks to even rehabilitate.

Also you should acknowledge Abacha who started the vision by negotiating with the Chinese .

But we must never commend GEJ that got his hands in the mud and completed the job all these people only dreamt of.

GEJ completed it in what what way?

OBJ came up with the idea to reactivate the rail system, Yaradua restructured it and the contractors did what they got paid to by finishing the project so how did GEJ his hands muddy? GEJ Carry brick and iron rod for the contractor?

LMAO.

Trying to attache GEJ to what he has nothig to do with reeks desperation and ignorance.

Your lame attempt to support your exaggerated praise of GEJ and not accord any credit to Yar'Adua for the Lagos - kano restoration, fails once again. Yar'Adua cancelled the bogus $8 billion over inflated contract and laid the framework for what GEJ completed. GEJ simply completed what Yar'Adua mapped out, arranged, and started - and don't you ever forget that! mumu

To show that you are a deceptive liar, I refer you to this thread right here on NL started in 2009. It shows that Yar'Adua awarded a contract to revitalize the Lagos-Kano rail line after cancelling the $8billion contract. Yar'Adua unfortunately left us and GEJ simply completed the project. Keep deceiving yourself.

Read up on Yar'adua's contract here

BTW Here is a quote by one of the current moderators on NL, from the same thread . You can't fool everyone

OAM4J:
I was waiting for somebody to note the difference. We are only rehabilitating the existing lines built more than 50yrs ago. This is 2009 for God's sake. and the best Yar'adua can offers us are still the locomotive trains. It's bad news.

What if he dumped the framework he inherited?

I will not argue about who started and who did not start the project though I remember vividly that Yar'Adua revoked the $8b rail contract in November, 2008 citing that the project with the budget was not presented to the national assembly.http://nm.onlinenigeria.com/templates/?a=14124

A year later, he was flown permanently to S. Arabia

From this link http://thepost-ng.com/fg-awards-n371-billion-contract/#.Uhp1yRuURYE , work commenced after awarding the contract in 2006 and was stopped by Yar'Adua. Considering that Yar'Adua's Govt considered it an illegality, it is possible to assume no more funding was released from May 2007 after the initial $250m funding from OBJ until it was revoked.

The second segment was awarded in July 2012. That means, it was completed in a year.

Considering there is no information available to show when Yar'Adua re-awarded the contract and considering that work started in 2006 but was frustrated by unavailibility funding from Adua's govt, I think it is immoral to give much credit to Yar'adua.

Some Credit should go to OBJ for starting the project but much of the credit should go to GEJ for ensuring continuity and speedy completion.

The second segment was finished under a year....Uncle Fresh air ride on

The tone of GEJ goons has suddenly changed, and they've suddenly realized that the rail line restoration was not the brainchild of GEJ's afterall.

Sorry to disappoint you people but GEJ is a visionless leader who has no business ruling Nigeria. I challenge these goons to name a single BIG idea of GEJ's which has transformed the lives of Nigerians for the better. All this administration has done with effectiveness is protecting thieves, giving them amnesty, and paying off terrorists with big contracts. Despite the contracts oil bunkering and theft is at an all time high. What a legacy!!!

The tone of bad belles remains constant, all credits of achievements accruable to GEJ must be transfered to dead Nigerian presidents.

Yea because he is not starting new and bogous contracts where there is a laudable one on ground. You actually refused to see new things he is doing to bless your life. Come out of your self-inflicted imprisonment and enjoy fresh air. It is freeeee grin grin

but their shortcomings must be credited to GEJ. This rule only applies when GEJ is involved. Going to LASG, Fashola must be credited for everything , afterall he's the best thing to have happened to them after ewedu soup.

...... that's how you spot a shameless hypocrite .

their attitude proves the saying that common sense is really not common, if we use their mentality then in a place like Lagos for example, Fashola shouldn't be congratulated for anything since Tinubu laid all the ground work. In fact Fashola has been reaping where he didnt sow by collecting all these praises and commendations for long. Anuofia progressives

Do you have a truck for haulage work?
Our company FMCL NIGERIA is in need of 20 Tonnages trucks (Box body) to convey her light imported products such as: DAIPERS (Huggies), KETCHUP, MAYONAISE, BAKED BEANS (Heinz'), The SME baby food et cetera.

The job is a permanent one as we distribute from Lagos (our Head Quarters) across Nigeria to our various warehouses (Abuja, Kano, Kaduna, Benue, Kogi, Imo, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Bayelsa, Edo, Delta, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti, Kwara, Anambra, Rivers, Ogun, et cetera).
