HI All. So i just discovered that Mayonnaise is not a friend to ulcer or heatburns. The past couple of days I have been having some slight pains and heartburn. I rarely have ulcer pains again, so I was just wondering where the pain was from. Immediately I started troubleshooting what I have been eating. Recently fell in love with tuna sandwich. So in the past couple of weeks, i bought a jar of mayonnaise and with some canned tuna fish. Apparently I never thought it could cause pain in any way. I woke up this morning and immediately checked on google. Mehn. Mayonnaise is a no no. It has a high oil content which could highly irritate your tommy. Its not healthy at all. Always check online if that new addiction is healthy for your tommy. no more mayonnaise. I'd rather stop bread entirely sef 4 Likes |

Yuneehk: Ok.. lemme just say dat first u av to really stay off those things i listed on d first page of this thread. Then, the plantain has to be grated and soaked in water. I used like 4 unripe plantains to about 5 litres of water. Then on d 3rd day, i started drinking. 1 cup in d morning, then 3 cups during d day. Best taken on an empty stomach. Make sure you sieve the solution b4 drinking. And also make a fresh solution after the 5 days of making d previous one. 1 Like |

geekybabe: Since last year December, I have been battling with this ulcer of a thing. I have took rounds of medications ( omeprazole, amoxillin, flagyl, mistmag) but I couldn't get much relief ooo. If you see me now, am just like a 15years old guy. I don loss weight and spleen like never-before. Please I want to ask those of you who have also gone through this painful disease. Please does ulcer causes stiffness of the neck? |
Re: Tips To Curing Ulcers And Living Healthy by geekybabe(f): 7:17am On Jul 02, 2017 |
mrhm: Sorry abt your issue. The reason u could be loosing weight is cos you r not eating well considering the drugs you are taking. Ulcer pain radiates to some parts in d body. Especially the back of the neck, the lower back of the waist too. So if you feel occassional numb or discomfort in your neck it could be the radiating ulcer pain. Take plenty of fruits..and water. Avoid orange, lemon or sour fruits. Take lots of bananas and cucumber. Most importantly stop worrying or agitating about the ulcer. Worry adversely impacts on the ulcer.. |

geekybabe: Thanks a lot for this thread I've really learnt a lot. I have soaked the unripe plantain in the bottle but I want to know if I can drink it like that or filter it and if it's filtered what part of it should I take? the liquid or the plantain? |
Re: Tips To Curing Ulcers And Living Healthy by geekybabe(f): 4:17pm On Jul 26, 2017 |
RealJenny: You should only take the liquid. The fermented plantain should be filtered out. |

geekybabe: You've really helped many lives with this thread. I remember this time last year, I didn't know I would see the end of the year. Though the remedies didn't work for me, but one of your advices did. You once told me to maintain a healthy eating habit. So around February this year, I stopped taking every ulcer drug and concentrated in maintaining a healthy eating habit. Though I still get pains once in a while these days, I can confidently say that I am healed. Thanks Op. 5 Likes |

What's the measurement for the fermented unripe plantain? And is garden egg good for an a peptic ulcer patient? Should I egg boiled egg or any form of egg? |
Re: Tips To Curing Ulcers And Living Healthy by geekybabe(f): 12:04pm On Aug 02, 2017 |
goldenluve: Garden egg is good. But best when its boiled and softened. You can eat boiled egg. Just try to avoid fried egg or anything fried especially if u av pains or your stomach is very sensitive. For tge fermented unripe plantain if you want to do it, grate 5 to 6 big unripe plantains into 4 litres of water l. Leave it to ferment for at least 48 hrs |
Re: Tips To Curing Ulcers And Living Healthy by goldenluve(m): 8:34pm On Aug 02, 2017 |
The first time I did the soaking of the unripe plantain, I was told by someone to drink it together with the pieces of the plantain inside like that. I don't know, is GESMATE (Cimetidine) tablet good for peptic ulcer. For the fermented unripe plantain, is there any particular measurement? As, the quantity to be time per thrice a day? |
