Beware Of The New Bank Teller!!! by jeffizy(m): 4:28pm On Sep 03, 2013
In recent months, i have witnessed a change in the teller copy of the banks i use - GTB and ECOBANK.

I got back into naija and was delighted to see that my bank has upgraded their customer copy teller.
It was a depature from the cumbersome pink/blue teller.
The new teller is a print out , just like the ones you get when you purchase stuffs from eateries.

Unfortunately , my delight was short-lived!
Being a meticulous person , i always keep my transaction records in a file. Knowing how the naija business environment can be.

To my greatest suprise, a payment slip i got from ECOBANK has all the details on it faded off after just a month!
Same for another slip i got from GTB.

It got me thinking... What if i'm to prove i made such payments in the future?
Is this a deliberate tactic employed by the banks?
I don't know , but i will try and see if the 'fading teller' can be photocopied . Since i noticed it's the paper quality that does'nt hold ink.

One can't be too careful dealing with the Nigerian banks.

To be more direct , i paid a little above three hundred into a patner's account & the business is still going.
But what if he decides to be a smart az.z?

All i have to prove the transaction is a blank teller with the serial number gone!

In Naija, you must stand on your toes.

So the slips you get from groceries don't fade.

If you are on internet banking, things like this shouldn't bug you

No need being sarcastic.
Are u a GTB worker?

The purpose of this thread is to let others get informed.

FYI, do you think an average taxi driver or market woman dealing with his/her ilk know about e-records?
Besides, why should i be relying on e-record from the bank?
So if i need to balance my business account each year, i will run to my bank for 'e-records'?

SWERVE!
