Twitter 2nd best,I don't really like it tho,sum gals no dey follow back! (My no2)
Instagram..........nonsense,rubbisssh! Just 2 dey upload pic,tel people how ugly or pretty u are,its left fr d people 2 like or comment( if na Nigerian or African create d site/app,e no go sell at all)

They are all social networking sites but on their own individual niche. What's the basic for the comparison? A comparison between Google+ and Facebook would have been better.

Just because Instagram is not popular here don't mean you
should write it off. What I mean is try all three and do your
beta test to see which one produces more results.

We don even forget Pinterest sef. Have you try using Pinterest,
if not, why is Google and Facebook fighting to lay their hands on
this traffic juicy social network?

My say is use every platform and try which one will give you the
best traffic you want.

i think fb comes first when you talk of marketing [driving traffic] while twitter and pinterest are really now head to head [MHO]...recently twitter is lossing the trafficsteam and its not as effective as you have it then.

if you are new to social netwoking and you have a biz to promote i think you should start off with fb, its a great platform for traffic conversion. i created a page 3 days ago and its already converting with 2 sales request. although fb can be a pain at times but the bottom line is that its good for upcoming business with little or no cash for ads.

As a blogger it's Facebook >>>>Twitter, Instagram is useless to all bloggers as you can't include a link to your site. Pinterest is even better, my url www.pinterest.com/ibietela or www.pinterest.com/ibietela/healthable my blog Pinterest page.

I dont understand why you want to know which is better from 3 different sites. Rather compare FB with Googleplus; Instagram with Flickr; Twitter with Yammer...that way! A photographer ll tell u instagram is better, a celebrity would prefer twitter and brands would go for facebook...!!!

As some poster rightly said, the comparison is on what basis? Generally, Facebook, I think has a lot more traffic and Zuckerburg is widely popular, Twitter is Cool, you can never get bored on there and the 'Trend' feature makes it awesome for latest happenings, Instagram is cool too, that's if you are the type that's into photosharing or Photography in general, I love its On the fly PhotoEditing feature too...My opinion.
And as for you Joywendy, you should start a fashion blog or something (Seriously and straight from the heart)

It all depends on what you want to do and what demographic you're trying to target.

Facebook: - has a higher concentration of older and working class people. Male & Female users not too different. It also the best platforms to use to drive traffic to websites and gain product exposure. The interaction level is also the best. Certainly FB is also the social network with the largest community with more than 1billion users.

Twitter: - user base is generally younger compared to FB. Twitter is also excellent for driving traffic to websites. Interaction is great and you have the luxury of real time connections to your clients. Twitter has about 500 million users of which 200 million are said to be regularly active.
For traffic generation and product exposure Twitter is could be almost on the same level as Facebook.

Pinterest: - 70% of users on this platform are female. Although interaction on pinterest is not as good as on twitter and facebook, it also an excellent source for traffic. Brand exposure and niche targeting is great on Pinterest. Total users- 70million.

Instagram: - There are 150 million users and Instagram, but unfortunately traffic to websites from Instagram is not impressive at all. Interaction is also not that great compared to Twitter, Pinterest and Facebook. Having said that, it is safe to say that it will still give you a good level of exposure. Users on this platform are mainly teenagers or people on their very early twenties.

At the end of the day, which social network works best for you depends on what you're comfortable with and what you're trying to achieve.
