sexkillz: Some of the questions here are mere commonsensical answerable questions and cannot be debated. A shortlist of debatable questions will be created.

Examples ?

Analyse my topics>Ogugua.I am waiting.
Onase: Can we get true love from social media? Is it a crime to date your elder/younger sisters' best friend? Is it proper for a guy to kneel down for a girl just to show how remorse(sorry) he his?

sanb: Can a professional/career-oriented woman be a submissive wife and maintain a good home?

Can keeping in touch with an ex create problems in a marital home?

Why do some men find it difficult to date/marry a woman who earns more than them?

Why do some rich ladies/guys find it difficult to date/marry guys/ladies who are not in their class?

What should the average waiting time be in a relationship before the marriage question is asked?

What are the effects in a societal setting on the high rates of teenage pregnancy?

What are the pros/cons of taking a child to a day-care center to allow their parents to resume back at work?

How does the effect of class distinction affects the way we view ourselves?

How practical is it for true love to exist without the right finances in place?

Is it proper for a profession/career-oriented woman to be a stay at home mum after having kids?

Is giving an engagement ring necessary during an engagement?

Is it appropriate for relatives to stay with a married couple?

Is it advisable for parents to choose a career for their children?

Is it appropriate for parents to choose spouses for their children?

Who spends the most money? Men or Women?

Thanks for the suggestions sanb. smiley

A lot of these would be better as threads (if they haven't been done recently already) and some are best suited for the Family section (unfortunately). The bolded ones can be done in this section as a debate or general thread.

-a quick note about the finance thread: there was a "Romance Without Finance is Nonsense" thread that made the front page not too long ago. People may feel it's redundant, but I'll put it on the debate list and people can decide whether or not they want to debate it.
Re: Romance Section Debates 2013 by Nobody: 3:12am On Sep 15, 2013
So I have updated the list. There are currently 17 topics up for debate. That's plenty if you ask me.

Should I pick a topic and then people who want to debate the topic sign up? Or would you like to find a general consensus as to which topic should be debated first? Or should we go down the list? grin

As of now, there is no scheduled date for any of the debates as there isn't a chosen topic or presented debaters. We'll wait for a topic to be chosen and debaters to be finalized before picking a date that works for everyone.

We also need judges for the debates; a total of 3 judges per debate, excluding Romance section moderators (we are only organizing). The 3 judges do not have to judge every debate held. I would like about 5 or 6 people to sign up to judge in case a judge goes AWOL, loses light, etc. Feel free to let your interest known here or send me a PM. smiley

The topics r ok. No.14 rocks. For no.7 I think the type of relationship should be specified(marriage or otherwise) and it'll definitly depend on ones morals which is determined by beliefs. Hmm...
No.17 is kinda similar to the first debate don't you think?

Anyway, I want to be a judge this time...
Re: Romance Section Debates 2013 by xynerise: 12:55pm On Sep 15, 2013
