I asked this question after the exam registration portal prompted me with a reminder that I have a pending course to register (Research Project).
This was after I have completed course and exams registration without registering the Research Project for exam.
This is very confusing.
Meanwhile, to avoid NOUN nonsense, I have registered the Research Project for exam.

You don't have to register it for exam because it is not examinable.
That you are seeing it as pending is because the system was programmed that way for all courses.
