Good day guys. I'm a prospective student. Please I really need information concerning admission and other matters.

First, while checking the 2024 academic calender, I realised that the new session had commenced since January. Is it possible for me to still make the current admission list? If not, will there be another admission opportunity within this year? If yes, please when will it start?

Secondly, the programme I would've really love to go for is Math/Comp. Science but I can't, because Physics is missing in my O'level result, which I intend to rectify this year. I noticed that the courses in 100 level in faculty of science are almost the same across all department. So, I intend to register for Biology and change to my prefered programme in 200 level. Please, I need candid advice on this.

So, I would like to know whether another admission batch will take place within this year.

Only MBA you are qualified for in NOUN. If however I have relevant experience, try and apply for concessional admission

To apply, you have to write an application for concessional admission stating your qualifications and as well as evidences for your experience in the field you desire to do the M.Sc. I recommend this for you because that is the only way you can be considered. The letter is to be directed to the VC. The last person I gave this suggestion got his admission letter from the VC office the following week and he was directed to take the letter to the study centre.

NOUN 13th Convocation Ceremony | 11th-13th April, 2024

NOUN HOLDS CONVOCATION CEREMONY IN APRIL

The 13th Convocation Ceremony of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) is scheduled to hold between April 12 - 13, 2024, according to an announcement from the Registrar of the university, Mr. Oladipo Ajayi.

The announcement said the ceremony will hold both on-site and off-site as those billed to attend the on-site event were urged to be seated before 9am at the university’s Convocation Arena, Jabi, Abuja.

The Convocation Lecture, which will hold on April 12 by 11am, is to be delivered by the Vice-Chancellor, Open University of Tanzania, United Republic of Tanzania, Prof. Elifas Tozo Bisanda, on the topic: “Is Western Education Still Relevant for Africa?”

The Convocation Ceremony, where the graduands would be awarded various degrees, will hold on April 13 by 10am at the Convocation Arena of the university, the announcement said.

It added that only first-class graduands, first-degree graduands in the study centres of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), PGD, award winners, masters degrees, doctorates degree graduands and honourary doctorate degrees are to attend the on-site ceremony at the university headquarters.

The ceremonies will be preceded by an Investiture of His Majesty, Omo N’ Oba N’Edo Uku’ Akpolokpolo Ewuare II, the Oba of Benin, as Chancellor of the university on Thursday, April 11, 2024 by 12noon at the university’s Convocation Arena, Jabi, Abuja.
