larride: lets see how it will be implemented hopefully it will not only be concetrated in Abuja for a few senior civil servants? if they are serious it should be decentralized and administered through the federal ministry of housing/ federal mortgage bank branches in all the 36 state. eg a first phase of 1000 housing units in all the 36 states = 36,000 units with provision for low income earners within the estates. that will be a game changer. Imagine the number of jobs that will be created in each state for youths involved in building 1000 units of houses per state? if each unit employs 10 ppl to build then thats 10,000 per state and 360,000 nationwide campaign managers for GEJ he wouldn't even need to sweat it. this is how western politician think. not our nigerian way of sharing garri to buy votes. 3 Likes |

Atouke: You are right, if you read my other contribution on this thread you will notice I touched on how the plan will be implemented, this idea needs a strong institution to thrive so that it won't become one of those good ideas that yields no impact on the masses. I don't really like the car loan, I would have prefer a student loan to a car loan but I guess we will take any one we get. This policy should not be for the upper middle class or senior civil servants as you said but it should be for everyone because its a dividend of democracy and should be felt as across the citizens and not some selected few. We are watching. |

masu: Gej won me back when i found out that his intensions and actions are progressive only that many mouth around him are too wide open. You are one dumb individual, are you saying the Nigerians who went out of their way to protest the subsidy removal did so because of their tribal affiliations.Do you realize that even ibos died in that protest? You just insulted those brave Nigerians who stood up for their rights. With donkeys like you constituting the Nigerian populace Nigeria will remain a Negro cesspool. As for the promises Jonathan is making ,i will believe it when it is up and running. |

Many people hv still not realised how HUGE this is. This is not just house and car access for the majority of Nigerians. It extends more than that. It is a GAME CHANGER in d Nation's Economy, and esp d Financial Sector, if well implemented by Okonjo-Iweala, his term and d Institutional Private Investors/Shareholders (including Primary Mortage Banks who hv already been forced by d CBN to raise their Minimum Capital Base to #5 or #6 billion prepatory to d anticipated new System)...... The $300m very low interest loan from d World Bank, which is meant to serve as d Core base of this Secondary ReFinance Mortage Bank from which to lend to d Primary Mortage Banks for onword loans to people at relatively low rates, hv already bn receive I think. Okonjo-Iweala will be thrilled afta working on this for almost 2 years. About time 2 Likes |

politics should not be decided by a few corrupt politicians that feel left out in the sharing of the national looting galore like the G7 governors are doing presently, FG should come up with life changing schemes that can change lives of people on the street. because these are the ppl that will vote and decide the elections life changing govt interventions can change political landscape. If jonathan is really interested in contesting and winning 2015 he should focus on this types of projects ie like the one we are talking about. When you win the hearts of the electorates by being the president who is perceived to really care about the ppl on the street then winning elections becomes easy.and then you don't have to fall for political blackmail like he is being blackmail at the moment. |

kilmix: When any progress is attained in this Administration, useless people will say 2015 politics/Gimmicks.. So GEJ shud just sit in office doing nothing and u guys will be happy?Dont mind the DEVILS on NL. If the president does something, they'll say it's election gimmicks. If he does nothing, they'll say he is clueless? What do these DEVILS want? Perhaps if the president changes his names to Kayode and Muhammadu, the destructive criticisms will die down. 2 Likes |

About time I think that the Amaechi NGF know that if this programme succeeds that it will change their political calculations in favour of the president. That is why they are hell bent on frustrating the plan and hence, the reason that they are calling for the resignation of Ngozi Iweala the finance minister thats spearheading this venture. Now it is glaring why the rebel governors want the finance minister axed 2 Likes |

He told sweet lies to get our votes in 2011 with great promises which never saw the light of the day. This is one of a few in a package of lies about to be offloaded to secure more 2015 votes. They always need a big lie to cover a small lie. God Help Us in this country, Nigeria. |

A very lovely news I must say, esp d house loan. Some people are already planning big time to invest heavily in building materials, training and supply of personnel. While Architechts, Lawyers, Structural + Design Engrs and others are warming up seriously... Yet some crazyyyy blind fhools are busy hating. As for d car loan, now I see why d FG will soon ban importation of cars, so as to prevent capital flight. They should just add Student loan to it, complete the Refineries, power, Road, Rails, Airports and Seaport, then EFCC & ICPC should move in. With these in place as from May 29 next year, even d devil will SLAP anyone that doesn't want GEJ in 2015. In other news, ND Millitants are patiently waiting @ d Creeks to know what Bros GEJ's decision would be come 2015, whether to be or not to be... Shebi na we oyel money dem want? Make dem come take am mmtshewww. One thing for sure is THUNDER go faya whoever no want better for my country, even if dat Iediot is from my village. Enough is Enough! 1 Like |

Reward for 2015 campaign kingpins. All those who will get votes from their people for GEJ will miraculously qualify to get house and car. As a govt initiative GEJ won't be out of pocket. What a great campaign prep. At least he will reward. How about some that used okada riders to campaign and later banned them. Smh for Nigerian politicians. |
