Tunisia, the largely moderate North African country, has struggled to stymie the flow of hundreds of young men leaving to fight alongside rebels in Syria’s more than two-year-long, bloody civil war.

Now, the interior minister says, the country must also slow a stream of young Tunisian women leaving for Syria on “sexual jihad.”

The Arabic term (jihad al-nikah) describes a phenomenon, evident in other Arab countries as well, of women traveling to the battlefield to provide comfort—and sexual favors—for the rebel fighters. Some hardline jihadists consider the practice a legitimate complement to Holy War.

“They have sexual relations with 20, 30, 100″ militants, the minister, Lofti Ben Jeddou said during a national security address to members of the National Constituent Assembly, according to the AFP. “After the sexual liaisons they have there in the name of ‘jihad al-nikah,’ they come home pregnant.”

The minister did not say how many women have traveled to Syria, though local media reports have suggested hundreds of women have done so. He added that the government has prevented some 6,000 Tunisians from traveling to Syria.

Why is this not in front page

The thngs they do in the name of holy jihad! We are living in a world where nobody likes to take accountability. We lie, but we hate to be called liars, We steal, but we hate to be called thieves, We are all about ourself, but we hate to be called selfish. Do they really believe adding holy to their actions make it right?

I have opened more than one thread (if I recall correctly) about this so called "$exual jihad" exploiting women.each time my thread was closed or hidden because I was exposing the fatwas of the Wahhabi pseudo-scholars who are promoting sectarian terrorism in Syria against alawites,shia,christians and even against their very own sunnis they claim as their fellows.now that the women are returning to their countries carrying the product of abomination, let us see how anyone can deny anything here.the news came out that Al-Arifi was the one who first issued a fatwa permitting "$exual jihad" or for females to offer themselves as $ex servants to terrorists fighting the Syrian government.of course this is no form of marriage and it is only permitted by the pseudo-scholars in order to satisfy the fighters in the battlefield who randomly sleep with these women from distant lands.the girls don't know the owners of their pregnancies.more or less this is an "incentive" in the worldly sense similar to the so called "72 virgins" reward in the hereafter.as the saying goes: truth is like pregnancy;you cant hide it.now we can say pregnancy has revealed the truth.

whoever propagates lewd acts [sexual in this case] whether in short term or long term situation, this is outside of Islam. prostitution is prostitution if it is mut'ah or otherwise with soldiers or not. in peace or in time of conflicts.
