Joshthefirst: my sentiments exactly. Its normally the crazy ones that spew the curses and insults don't you think? You missed where I state they're happy? Happy don't usually 'spew curses' from the go. They might mock though. Now, when frustrated, eg, when dealing with mindless, selfish, intolerant, bigoted, happy monsters, usually 'suffering and smiling', supposedly equipped with a brain similar to yours and claiming to also have empathy and common sense as well, it becomes easy to see how one may become angry and 'spew insults'. See? |

In addition to the www.needgod.com site to help sinners understand that they've transgressed God's law, there's also a very good video that explains the Gospel message concisely but thoroughly in 11 minutes. I've seen several versions of it on the web, but an HD version exists at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1Ex2FpwqvI. |

How Do We Know There Is a God? The Bible describes God as eternal (Psalm 90:2; 1 Timothy 1:17), all-powerful (Jeremiah 32:17; Colossians 1:17), infinite in understanding (Psalm 147:5; Isaiah 40:28), perfectly holy like no other (Exodus 15:11; 1 Samuel 2:2), the only God (Psalm 86:8–10), incapable of lying (Titus 1:2), Creator of the whole universe (Genesis 1:1; John 1:3), and Savior (Titus 2:13)—just to name a few attributes. How do we know such a God exists? http://www.answersingenesis.org/get-answers/features/thank-god-youre-wrong

OLAADEGBU: "Prove to Me There Is a God" The skeptic's condemning cry often comes as, "Prove to me there is a God." Usually the agnostic or atheist expects physical or scientific evidence for the existence of God, but when the Bible believer cannot point to a living being and say, "There is God," the skeptic thinks he has won. What people often do not realize is that even if God appeared on the earth (which He has, in the person of Jesus Christ), we did not exist in eternity past and do not know the future, so we cannot prove by any human standard that He is eternal. Our understanding is limited, so we cannot prove that God knows all. And our limited perspective renders us incapable of proving God’s standard of morality as absolute and true. Not only that, but by our own fallible standards, our "telescopes are short-sighted," and we cannot determine if He is the only God that exists inside (or outside) the universe. So, even if we could observe and scientifically test God by our own standards of operational science, we would be unable to prove all of His divine, eternal attributes because of our own limited mortality. So any answer to the question, "How do we know there is a God?" that does not start with God’s own statements regarding Himself is self-refuting, inconsistent, and limited by human frailty because a finite, limited man can never ultimately prove the existence of an eternal, all-powerful, all-knowing God. Only an eternal, all-powerful, all-knowing being could prove the existence of the God described in the Bible. http://www.answersingenesis.org/get-answers/features/thank-god-youre-wrong |

Here are the latest atheist billboards to go up in this country. The atheist's news item about these billboards states: " American Atheists announced a billboard campaign in Austin and Dallas, Texas, which features four designs with quotes from Newt Gingrich, Sarah Palin, Rick Santorum, and Dallas Pastor Robert Jeffress about the place of faith in government and their views on homosexuality. One billboard features former GOP vice presidential nominee Palin and her statement, “We should create law based on the God of the Bible,” and calls upon Americans to “Go godless instead,” with an invitation to attend American Atheists’ 50th Anniversary celebration and national convention March 29-31, in Austin." You can read the entire news item at: http://www.atheists.org/american-atheists-launch-go-godless-instead-billboards-texas At AiG, we do our best to put up billboards each year (as well as everything else we do) to reach people with the truth of God's Word--I pray Christians will begin to be mobilized more than ever to unashamedly and boldly and very publicly stand for the authority of the Word against the godlessness that is creeping across the nation. Sadly, I believe rampant compromise in the church beginning in Genesis has resulted in a lot of apathy in the church! Wake up church! |

Atheists Gear Up for ‘War on Christmas’ by Selling Winter Solstice Greeting Cards, Bible Warning Stickers The Freedom From Religion Foundation is gearing up for the so-called “War on Christmas” this year by promoting products to help nonbelievers celebrate the winter solstice. “Most people think December is strictly for Christians and view the solstice as an intrusion, when actually it’s the other way around,” Dan Barker, FFRF co-president, said in a statement. “People have been celebrating the winter solstice long before Christmas. We see Christianity as the intruder, trying to steal the natural holiday from all of us humans.” The Madison, Wis.-based organization said in a press release that winter solstice is “the real reason for the season.” FFRF is selling, among other things, 14 varieties of winter solstice greeting cards that say things like “Reason’s Greetings” and “Yes, Virginia . . . There Is No God” and more. The group is also promoting items such as Bible warning stickers, “debaptismal certificates” and “Heathen’s Greetings” non-tracts, which are small brochures that attempt to address “myths” about religion or freethought. FFRF has also been known to challenge the legality of Christmas displays erected on public property. Last year the city of Alsip, Ill., for example, ended a nearly 35-year-old tradition of displaying a “Holiday Cross” on the city’s water tower after receiving a letter from FFRF that said the cross display was unconstitutional. ‘Relax, Hell Does Not Exist’: Evangelical Atheists Take to the Streets to Convert Believers November 25, 2013 | Filed under: Life & Society,Top Stories | By: Heather Clark According to local news outlet KPBS, the San Diego Coalition of Reason has been setting up a booth every other weekend in Balboa Park, a location that features a variety of religious messages on any given day. A banner is spread out across the booth that reads, “Relax, Hell does not exist, Heaven either. Enjoy your life,” and smaller signs are displayed on the table, such as “Ask an atheist.” The group also comes prepared with a stash of pretzels and Cheez-Its, which they use as props to help deliver their message. “These are what we call theistic pretzels,” one of the men told reporters. “And a theistic pretzel, as we can see, is made with actual twisted logic. But some people have a little more hunger in their souls, they’re looking for maybe a little more than that, so we will save them with the power of Cheez-Its.” The coalition admitted that it is “evangelistic” in its approach. “We’re constantly fighting to get religion out of our schools, constantly fighting to get the teaching of creationism out of our schools,” he said. “So if we can de-convert people away from these religious ideas that keep them stuck in this dogma that forces them to believe these things, that’s a moment of pure joy for us.” Atheists in San Diego have recently launched a chapter of Sunday Assembly, a gathering that mimics the Christian worship service, but with a completely godless focus. As previously reported, in January of this year, stand-up comedians Sanderson Jones and Pippa Evans launched the first Sunday Assembly in the UK, and embarked last month on an international tour to establish more assemblies around the world, including in the United States. “It’s part atheist church and part foot-stomping show,” Jones told reporters. “We just want people to feel encouraged and excited when they leave.” The gathering features secular music, a weekly message and fellowship, including games and food. Other chapters have launched in Nashville, Chicago and other cities nationwide. Reaction to the evangelical atheists has been mixed. “This is just backlash for the constant religious propaganda that is shoved in our faces on a daily basis,” one commenter wrote. “While I disagree with all proselytizing, in this instance, I understand the need to push back a little.” “The irony, of course, is that atheism has become a religion with missionaries on the street, organized Sunday services and even a scism between these new evangelic atheists and the traditional atheists who don’t feel the need to recruit new non-believers or engage in formal activities with fellow non-believers,” another stated. “[W]hen they finally realize how empty are the assertions of the atheist proselytizers, the Church will still be here, ministering to those in need, and ready to give them a reason to have hope for tomorrow,” a third said. “For the Christian, there is no fear of Hell. There is freedom from shame and guilt, and victory in Jesus. I hope that everyone can know that, too.” http://christiannews.net/2013/11/25/relax-hell-does-not-exist-evangelical-atheists-take-to-the-streets-to-convert-believers/ 1 Like |
