Jijola: Ph.D involves long procedures, but it is worth the procedure. As for a second masters, you need to go for a more specialised one so as to show the necessity for the second masters, otherwise it will make you look desperate.Since you have an M.Sc, why not apply for MBA or MFA? I did something similar and my visa was approved. You just need to write a strongly-worded SOP to link your current master and the intended one-the current is general and the intended one is specialised. But then, you may desist from stating it if you think there's no strong link for the two, or that stating the fact is not an added advantage to your visa application. You can also mention it in your admission application and not mention it in your visa application, if you think it will favour the former but not the latter. In my own case, stating my previous Master really helped in the admission as well as the visa application.
I advise you apply for Master in one school and Ph.D in another.Morning.
@ jijola, thanks. Stil searching for another school that waives gre/toefl for Eco. aside manitoba

hear yourself, you said you use your unconditional for your visa
application, why not use the conditional acceptance letter to apply.
all acceptance letter must be unconditional.
Although we are of different opinion,
don't be annoyed if the way I had replied you is aggressive, just explaining how it should be.

Obviosly meant to type conditional . Does an unconditional letter require u to submit transcript dat was an error. I used a conditional offer for ma visa application

harkinhola: Sorry to disagree with you, if you read what she typed very well, you should know she meant she used her conditional acceptance letter.
Anyways where did you get the theory of conditional letter not being accepted by the VO, I guess it must be a new development because I also used Conditional letter for my Visa, and I got it.
I was required to submit my degree Certificate, and I wasn't ready to risk sending it to Canada, so what I did was to scan it and upload it to my profile when I was applying for my Visa.
So pls, where did you get your information? Or it is just a mere thought of yours.
Thanks.
Thank u harkinlola u just stated d obvios. It was a typo n he cudnt get it

OK,accepted.
but reasons for using conditional acceptance letter should explained on her SOP
There are no reasons to b xplained evrything depends on d VO handling ur case. So lets stop d numerous assumptions. I dint evn submit an SOP cos I dint knw bout it til slimdel told me . N den i had submited ma application alrdy
I am nt saying people mst use conditional offers or people shudnt write SOP. evrything works differently for evry1 in as much as one shud try to do all d necessary things. Bt wer u cnt get an unconditional offer n ur laging behind time n u decide to use ur conditional offer doesnt mean ul b denied visa

Slimdel: SOP ke Conditional offer depends, for eg if the conditional offer is to pay a certain amount of money before unconditional letter will be issued then I doubt if u can use that for your visa, you are expected to pay the money and use the unconditional letter. Abeg sop no dey this matter abeg wetin u wan explain ni that u will borrow the money?
Cheers

Conditional offer letters that can not be used for visa purpose will be stated on it... so if ther is any way it state that then..don't proceed with it. . But always try to fulfill the requirements just in case at ALL they contact ur institution.

She should apply online na.
1. Photocopy all the documents,at least two copies including the admission letter + 2/3 photocopies of her passport data page.
2. Yes certified true copy is very much acceptable.
3. Yes I applied with a statement of purpose (2 pages) no address, just the heading (statement of purpose for visa appl)
4. Yes she will sign the form with a pen
5. No it mustnt be hardcopy from the school. She should print it coloured and clear. My school for eg only issues electronic letter of admission.
Any other questions,I'm very much available.
You're welcome dear.
