Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has lost his elder brother, Alhaji Garba Dangote, who died Thursday after a brief illness.
Dangote confirmed that his death came very suddenly as he suffered a massive stroke on Wednesday, and gave up the ghost some hours later.
The 80-year-old like his younger brother, was a businessman and the first son in the family.
Alhaji Garba was buried in accordance with Muslim rites yesterday in Kano.
He is survived by a wife and children
