i have problem with my pc it is not showing anything on the desktop
like my computer my network places and others
it shows blank screen
just the background

if your computer is not display as u ve posted

then go to control panel then click on display
then u will see some options like themes desktop etc then click on desktop

after then click on customize desktop
then u should check the desktop icon as in my computer network my document

if u try this i think your problem is solve

i tink wat he is trying to say is that the explorer.exe is not coming up cos that is the one that power up ur system and ready to use,
so wen that blank screen comesup
press ctrl alt then delete. the three keys. u will c ur taskmanager,
click on file tab,
click on new(task run),
then type explorer.exe and click ok or enter,
it works right
